Count Your Blessings

Yay - it's Friday!!!  Yippee!!!  For me, that means pizza night :D  My new favorite at Round Table Pizza is their BBQ Chicken Pizza.  It's gotta be regular crust, not thin.  We tried that one time and found out that we needed a fork and knife to eat it because it would just collapse and drip all over the place...  Why Round Table you ask?  Because my #1 son works there, of course!  I really do like it though - yummmmmmm.  My mouth is watering just thinking about it!  What is your favorite kind of pizza?

Candy?  Who said anything about candy!  Well, I'm just saying... I know something - hee hee!  Keep on the lookout... you definitely do not want to miss out!

Did you know that it's a Fairy Fun Friday?  Yes, today is a new challenge!  Grab your fav Prairie Fairy image and create away!!!  My card for today features "Too Sweet" by the lovely Prairie Fairy, Roberta!  I've used her fab sketch, but I rotated it...I hope that I have captured the sweetness of her design!!!

I've used my fav copics
skin - E000 E00 E21 E11 R20
hair - Y11 Y21 E97 E99
dress - B000 B00 B02 B05
flowers - R10 R11 R34
leaves - G21 YG63 YG
wings - detailed with gold spica, covered with pixie dust shimmerz
Printed out digi paper... I'll have to find where I got this!  MS eyelet lace punch, nesties, a very old corner punch, pearls, ribbon, charm from stash

Here is a great shot of me coloring out of the lines!!!

Here's the charm I chose to add... awww...

So, you want my honest opinion?  I kinda ran out of time... I would have liked to add the sentiment that said, "Count Your Blessings Not Your Problems"  Maybe I'll have time in the next day or two and if I do a new and improved version, I'll post a second one and you can vote : )

I will have another post for you later today because it's also a Fussy and Fancy Friday!  Whoo Hoo!  Head on over and check it out.  But first, go see Roberta and check out the challenge at Fairy Fun Fridays! :D

See you soon!
May God bless you, keep you and comfort your soul ~

Get Well, My Friend!

At last!  My computer is working!  This time it wasn't really my computer, but my son was downloading a game which takes up all the bandwidth or some mumbo jumbo like that - lol!  All I know is that it was taking forever to load one page, then I'd try to leave a comment on one of your lovely blogs and it just wasn't responding...hmmm... You don't have to tell me twenty-five times that something is fishy!!!  Twenty-four times will do nicely - thank you very much - hee hee!  I've asked him to pause his download so I could post this without pulling my hair out!  I do have the best sons in the world - sorry mom's - I know that your sons are the best too : )

Ok, back on task.  This is my DT card for Copic Buzz Challenge #27.  I've followed the fab sketch for this week.  The lovely, Michelle Perkett is sponsoring us.  She has some amazingly beautiful images in her etsy shop which you can find Here.  Michelle also has a group on Papercraft Planet that she would love you to join!  When you're done, why not join us at Copic Buzz Challenge?

This is Butterfly Fairy.  Isn't she sweet?  She has an array of butterflies surrounding her.  If you look closely (kinda like where's waldo!) you can even see a butterfly in the dp : )
All paper is from Joanne's, but the name has been cut off, so I don't know the name (sorry!)

Copics used:
Hair - E13 E17 E18,
Skin - E000 E00 E21 R20,
Blue - B97 B45,
Pink - R85 R83 R81,
Green - YG67 YG 63 G21 G20
Glitter on wings
Sentiment from a card club by Annie's Attic
Cuttlebug
Oval and scallop nesties
Spellbinders tag

Small butterfly punch
Sewing machine and thread
Rhinestones - medium and tiny (for butterflies)
Buttons
Lace
Flowers

Now you can see the stitching and sparkles!
Challenges I'm entering:
This is a card I made for my dear friend who has not been feeling well.  I mean REALLY not feeling well - not just a cold or the flu...  Are you a person of prayer?  Please lift up Vickie - God knows who she is and what she needs.  He is the only One who can heal!  Does He use doctors and medicine?  Of course, I just mean that it all originates from Him.  Thank you, my sweet friends - I really appreciate it!!!

Thank you also for visiting today.  I hope to come visit you soon : )  Your comments bring sunshine and warmth to my soul - I truly appreciate every word!!!

Until next time, my friends ~

May God bless you, keep you and comfort your soul ~

Purple-iscious Gift Card Holder and Purse

Greetings ya'll!!!  Have you heard the latest terminology (well, it's probably old already...but it's new to me!)?  As we blog hop and surf the web, we are actually blurfing!  Yes, that's right, it sounds like something my sons came up with - lol!  But I think that they would reference 'barfing' somewhere in there...   Oh well, whatever we call it - girls just wanna have fu-un!!!  Go ahead, I know you want to - hee hee... sing it, baby!

Today's project gave me one problem after another.  You know what I mean - some days things are effortless and come together so well, then there are those other days, grrrrr!  I mean really, how can such a little piece of paper have such power over me - ha ha!  Well, I am here to tell ya that I won :D  I do like the finished product.  It reminds me so much of my sister.  She loves purple!  I just may have to 'surprise' her with it : )  The only thing would be if she sees this post before I get a chance to give it to her!

This 'clean and simple' gift card holder features Prairie Fairy's Digi Coneflower which you can find in her Bugs n Blooms line.  I kept it simple so that it would fit nicely in the coordinating purse.  Oh so sweet!

Colored with Copics, highlighted with white Sharpie
Digi paper from Gina Jane Cottage Roses
Buttons and embroidery thread from stash

Here's the inside which features a corner pocket which is perfect for 'hiding' a gift card, money, even a packet of hot chocolate or cider!  Digi paper is from the same collection (Gina Jane Cottage Roses).  Lace punch is MS.

The purse is called Perfect Purse from Gina K's Perfect Patterns designed by Carolyn King.  You can find it Here.

I used a coordinating paper on the inside of the strap (hard to see here).  Stitched the front and back together and punched the eyelet lace with MS punch.  Can you see the butterfly charm and purple bead?  I added this to the ribbon tied in a knot which I placed through the silver eyelet.

Here's the back side

After all my whining, I really did enjoy this project - lol!  I might even make a few more...now that all the kinks have been worked through!  Thanks for taking a peek : )

Before you go, I want to encourage you to head on over to Fairy Fun Fridays Challenge.  Why not join us this week?

May God bless you, keep you and comfort your soul ~

Blog Candy Alert!

Hello my friends!  Well, you may be glad to know that I've already gone to the gym and had my decaf coffee with French Vanilla.  I didn't even have to reheat it once - I know, amazing, huh?  The only reason I was able to drink it without it getting cold is because I sat on the couch, not my craft desk - lol!  Today my DH is home and it's a laid back day.  Gray and raining here.  Another cozy up day, but I'm itchin to get out my copics!  Later, we're having nachos - yum!  I haven't had those in forevah... So, we sent our son out to get a few ingredients we didn't have - well, he's young and doesn't get as cold as me!!!  He is such a fantastic son, I'm so blessed : D

Have you heard about the blog candy that ABC Toys and Crafts is having?  There are three MS punches up for grabs!

I just purchased the eyelet lace set, so I chose this set as the one I'd like to win :D  Go Here to enter for a chance to win one of these great punch sets!  Also the store is having a sale:  15% off Martha Stewart products until January 22.  Hurry on over and check it out!

It's Time for a Tea Party!

Hey... just me again.  As I was contemplating what I wanted to say for this post, my nose, which is now numb from being too cold,  was just too distracting.  All I could think of was 'I'm cold!'  Ok... so what else is new?  What I'm about to tell you is a little embarrassing, but it's just so me, I decided to risk the gasps from you, my friends - hee hee!  Do you remember the cup of hot cocoa I was going to have with my blankie and doggie?  Well, I have just reheated that same cup I had earlier today.  I never even had a sip...  One day, my hubby asked me what I was making (referring to food).  I told him I was heating up my hot cocoa... His response? 'How many times?' LOL!  I had reheated it so many times I lost count!!!

I just had my last swallow, so it's time we go from hot chocolate to tea.  I now have the pleasure of introducing you to 'Tea Party' by Roberta at Prairie Fairy Digital Stamps.

I used the fab sketch from Fairy Fun Fridays - Challenge 2.  My image is a little bigger than I thought, so I don't have all of the elements on the sketch, but I followed as closely as possible for this card.

Love that glitter and shine : )

Here are the deets:
Copics, pink and brown Spica pens
Diamond Glaze on wings, snail's shell and mushroom
Ultra Fine Glitter on wings

Wow... two posts from me today!  Next up is Copic Buzz.  I'll be working on a project that will be a first for me.  I guess that goes to show ya that if I can try something new and out of my 'comfort zone' anyone can!  Come back and see - you just may get a good laugh!!!

Four hours left to enter my 'Surprise' Candy... tick tock...  Winner will be announced Saturday, Jan. 16!

Sending big hugs and lots of love your way!

May God bless you, keep you and comfort your soul ~

Baby It's Still Cold Outside!

Have you been able to warm up yet?  It's cold in my house!  I love to get cozy under the blanket with my fur baby.  He is much better than a heater, ya know?  It's gray outside and I haven't ventured much further than my sofa today - lol!  I have my cup of hot cocoa, my laptop warming up my legs and my baby, Sammy, by my side.  Can you say 'contentment'?

I'm a bit late on my post today for Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge...  Have you already popped over to the blog to see the latest challenge?  As you can see, it's all about Winter - brrrrrrr!  So here's my DT card for this week's challenge.  We got to play with Stampinsanity digis this week - yay!!!  This image is called Henry's Snowman.  But as you can see, I've turned Henry into Henrietta - hee hee!  The sentiment just called for pink - and even though males are wearing pink these days, I still see her as Henrietta : )

Prairie Fairy Grand Opening!!!

Happy Saturday everyone!  The days have been flying by - again - lol!  Why does it seem like the older I get the faster the weeks go by?  Does anyone have the answer to this ancient question?  Huh, huh?  As I look at the clock, it is almost 1:30 a.m.  I'm tellin ya that it's like I just got home and now it's time to go to bed already - yikes!!!  I have to get up early in the morning.  Hey!  I know... those of you that know me know that I am not a morning person - but I have to be at my mom's house by 10:00 a.m.  What time do you get up?  I console myself by saying, "self, you are not the only person in the world who doesn't get up at 6:00 a.m."  Please tell me that there are some of you out there who are not morning people!  I really am trying to go to bed earlier though.  AND... I have been going to the gym - yay!  AND... I have not been overdoing it - I'm not even sore :D  One thing at a time...

Well, since I haven't been home much lately, I haven't finished my cards - boo!!!!  I won't be home today either - sigh... but hopefully when I get home tonight I'll have a little crafting time.  I'm actually working on three cards - lol!  I know... it's a miracle - hee hee!

I am!  Now why are you laughing?  I know that I've said that too often in the past with no action... but honestly, I'm gonna do it this time -hee hee!  I have a very good friend who will keep me accountable.  She is the reason why I started going to the gym in the first place.  And here is my reason why I stopped:  surgery (twice).  But now that I've had sufficient time to recover, I'm good to go --- so, here I go!!!  Pray that I won't overdo it or pull or push something that shouldn't be pulled or pushed...

Today I have a sweet and very simple card to show ya.  I used one of my new Tilda stamps!  This is my very first Magnolia post (I know... can you believe it?).  It's time for me to move into the 21st Century where Tilda is alive and well - lol!
