Princess Pony

Good Morning!  Are you bright-eyed and bushy-tailed?  Hee hee... for me, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed is around 11:00 a.m.  Well, someone has to be up at night to take care of things - lol!

My little furbaby, Sammy, is well on his way to being his old bossy self!  It was a looooong couple of weeks, but he's as good as new.  Whew!  I think it was worse than having a sick baby cuz he doesn't wear diapers...ewwwww...  I hope you've already had your breakfast - hee hee!

Are you ready for another challenge at Karen's Doodles?  This week we have an inspiration photo to work with, and all four challenge blogs are joining in.

I love the colors in this photo, so I used pink and green.  My card is kinda 'ruffly' which I took from the bed skirt and pillow shams.  I just love cute and girlie!  Without further ado,  meet Princess Pony Here.

I've colored Princess Pony, of course, with my fav copics:
E21 E11 E00 E000; E31 E25 Y21; R85 R83 R81; G28 G24 G21 G20; E34 E33 E31 E30; C7 C5 C3 C1 C0.
Stardust Stickles accents, gorgeous cameo and mini roses by Prima, MS punch, pearls and ribbon.  Ta Da!  I used my Cricut to cut out the card shape (Wild Card Cartridge) and dp; nesties for the circle and scallop.  If you are reading this and recognize the shape of the card as one that you recently did, I give you credit!  I loved your card so much, I decided to make one of my own!  I'm sorry that I didn't write down your name and blog... I will make a conscious effort to do that in the future.

This was a lot of fun to color!

So how do you think I did with my first inspiration photo?  I hope you like the results.

Exciting News:  Karen's Doodles Challenge Blogs (yes, plural - all four) are having an Easter Blog Hop!  Watch for it this week - Thursday, April 1.  Fun and prizes!!!

Thank you for coming to visit me.  I truly appreciate your friendship and support!!!

May God bless you, keep you and comfort your soul ~

A Gift For You

I'm back!  I promised you another 'fuzzy wuzzy' so I'm here to introduce to you, "Birthday Cuddles" from Popcorn the Bear Collection.  This adorable, high quality stamp is available at Paper Romance.  I've only used two of the eight stamps which come with the Birthday Cuddles set on my card today.  A quick and simple project!
This cutie-patootie is colored with copics and accented with Stardust Gelly Roll pen by Sakura.  I love the Stardust pen from Sakura because it gives a nice flow of 'sparkle'.  For some reason, both of the clear Atyou Spica pens I've had didn't work very well... hmmm.  I've had no problem with Sakura : )

Don'tcha just want to pick him up and cuddle him?  I love his blankie : )  Now when you look at the gift tag and see 'A Gift For You', it's a little off.   This is human error, not the stamp!  I just wanted to make sure you knew that - lol!

Need a quick and easy card?  Head on over to Paper Romance and see the adorable stamps Amy has available!  There's sure to be something for every style and taste.

Challenges Entered:
Creative Card Crew - Going Dotty
Pile It On - Furry Friends
Hand Full of Stamps - Sweet
Paper Garden - Embossing

Next up...  a photo is my inspiration for Karen's Doodles Challenge.

Come back soon!  I love you, my friends {heart}

Thinking of You

♥ Happy Saturday!  I hope your weekend is off to a wonderful start and you get lots of coloring time in.  I, on the other hand am a little behind in that area...  I am just itchin' to get some copics in my hands!

Today, my DH is on his way to pick up a (used) new bike.  He has been wanting a recumbent bike for years.  Well, he finally found one and he can't wait to get it.  He is so cute... like a little kid waiting to open presents on Christmas - lol!  The only thing is that his excitement is on the inside.  You know the story of the little boy who was told to sit down and be quiet?  You can image what his reaction would be if he was so inclined to be disobedient... "I might be sitting down on the outside, but I'm standing up on the inside!"  Yes, my DH is definitely jumping up and down shouting on the inside : )  I am happy for him!  He's gonna need some good exercise and something to focus on other than worrying about whether or not he can find a job...  God has always provided for us, and I know that He's gonna continue to provide.

My card today is a day late - oops!  This is my i {heart} copics DT card for Fabulous Friday Challenge.  There is a sketch for you to follow this week.  Why not give it a try?  The only requirement is that you use copics somewhere on your creation whether it is coloring the image or embellishment.  Deadline to enter is Thursday, April 1 at 10:00 PM.

It's 1:04 AM as I type this, and I haven't gone to bed yet, so doesn't that count for Friday still?  I didn't think it would - lol!
I received this adorable Tilda in a RAK.  I had two of them, but I didn't like the first one, so I colored the other one.  Now I have none : (   She is just sooooo cute!  Do you know which Tilda this is?  My wish list is getting longer and longer.

I've used My Minds Eye "Love Me Do" paper from i {heart} papers.  I think it's perfect for this card!  Check out i {heart} papers for other fab selections.

Challenges Entered:
Little Red Wagon - inspiration photo
Simon Says Stamp - Spring
The Creative Cottage - Sparkle
Flutter By Wednesdays - Butterfly charm
Cute Card Thursday - Dimension
Crafty Catz - White + one other color

Ok, now it's bedtime.  I'll have another fuzzy wuzzy project for ya later today.

Thanks for coming to visit.  I hope to be visiting you soon...

May God bless you, keep you and comfort your soul ~

Love at First Bite Remix!

Does it feel like deja vu today?  If you remember my easel card from Monday, this IS the same image!  I needed another Easter card using this beautiful charm from The Charm Barn and I didn't want to use the exact same card... so here's my remix!

This is for Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge, and you guessed it, the theme is Easter!  The image is Love at First Bite from Karen's Doodles.  Isn't it just the cutest?  It makes me so happy looking at it :)

There's that fun bunny charm!  You can find it at The Charm Barn... they have lots to choose from!

Wow... twice in one week!  What's up with that?  Even though I am the last person on the face of this planet to make an easel card, I've decided that I am gonna make up for it - lol!  Actually, the challenge at Fairy Fun Fridays this week is to make an easel card.  So now I'm getting in some good practice.  I've visited many of your blogs and found lots of beautiful easel cards.  Each of you have stated that it was very easy to make and loads of fun!  Well, you were right : )

Thanks a Bunch!

Hello my friends!  I have good news.  My little furbaby is indeed getting better.  Although he still vomited today, he was back to his old self barking at his food mat.  You have to understand Sammy to know that when he's barking at the place mat we use to put his food on because he won't eat out a bowl, he is demanding either to be fed or wants water!!!  This little three year old runs the house, I'm tellin ya!  So I gave him a couple handfuls of dog food (the first he's had in a week).  So far, so good... we'll see how he tolerates solid food.  Whew!

I have even better news!!!  My brother-in-law, who has been battling cancer, has just been told that the cancer is gone!  Praise God!!!  The same God who healed me from cancer two times, has now healed my brother-in-law!  Are you ill?  Do you have a problem that seems hopeless?  I am here to tell you that Jesus is the answer.  No, not religion...  A real, personal relationship with the Living God.  Even if you don't believe that He exists, tell Him that.  Ask Him to reveal Himself to you and He will!!!  I pray for you, my friends.  May you find true peace through Jesus Christ who died for us so we can live forever with Him.  And now... may His loving arms surround you and comfort you, bringing peace to your soul!

Wow!  I was not planning that... someone who is reading this right now needs the Lord.  You know that He has been calling you and you've been resisting.  Please don't resist anymore.  Tomorrow is not promised to any of us.  Cancer, illness, death can happen to anyone at anytime.  I want to see YOU in heaven.  Contact me through email.  I am here for you!

Ok... on to my warm and fuzzy card I promised to show ya today.  I used a stamp set from Crafter's Companion called Popcorn the Bear.  This is an unmounted rubber stamp set entitled, "Thanks a Bunch."  You can find it HerePaper Romance has the cutest rubber stamps!  I am loving working with them.  Amy is continuing to stock more and more items in her store.  She now has embellishments such as ribbon, brads and flowers.  Also new is Cute Companions which come as a sheet of unmounted 6 x 6 rubber.  They are adorable!!!  Check out Paper Romance Here.

It might not look like it, but I actually used all seven copic markers as described above to get the bear to look like this.  Do you think he looks fuzzy?  I'm still practicing and having fun : )  What ever did I do before copics?  I am so in love...

i {heart} copics

Do you {heart} copics as much as I do?  Did you know that there is a group on Paper Craft Planet called, 'i {heart} copics'?  Yes, there is even a weekly challenge.  You know you love challenges : )  This week is Fabulous Friday Challenge #6 - sponsored by Pixel Geek Designs.  There are two FREE templates available for you to use and try out.  And this week's prize is one free template of the winner's choosing!

Here's what I came up with this week:
This is the Crayon Box Template from Pixel Geek Designs.  I was very surprised at how easy this was to put together.  The instructions were easy to understand and the template was simple to print out and assemble.  I would highly recommend these templates for even the beginning crafter!

To create the box, I used i {heart} papers Love Me Do collection.  The image is Karen's Doodles, 'Rosie Loves to Draw' Here.
Copics
Elephant: C7, C5, C3, C2, C1, C0, R20
Eyes: BG32, BG23
Bow, pencil: Y21, Y15, Y13, Y11
Eraser, words: R08, YR04, YR02
Paper, floor: E33, E31, E30
Paper
i {heart} papers:  My Mind's Eye, Love Me Do
Template
Pixel Geek Designs:  Crayon Box
 Digital Stamp
Karen's Doodles:  Rosie Loves to Draw

Here's the inside...  As you can see, the paper is double sided and very good quality!  Since I don't have little ones anymore, I didn't have actual crayons to put inside.  I found these lunchbox notes at Michael's for 50 cents!
I thought these crayon buttons from Joann's were the perfect finishing touch.

Now head on over to i {heart} copics Fabulous Friday Challenge to see the truly fabulous projects the DT created.  You can pick up your freebies while you're there!

Thanks for stopping by my little corner of blogland.  I love to read your comments : )

I'll see ya back here tomorrow with a card surely to give you the warm fuzzies!

All Cracked Up for Easter

Another Friday is here!!!  Did your week fly by too?  I gotta tell you what's been happening in my neck of the woods...

Did you know that dogs can get gastroenteritis?  No, I didn't know how to spell that, I used spell check - lol!  I didn't even know gastroenteritis existed until a friend had it.  Not fun, so stay healthy!  Anyway, on Sunday, my little puppy dog was out of sorts... then it all happened.  It wasn't pretty, I'm tellin ya.  I'll spare you the gory details - I'll just say that I did A LOT of cleaning up!  After two days of this, I decided it was time to call in back up.  I got the only appointment the Vet had that day.  LOTS of money later, we found out what they thought he had (and also tests to show what he didn't have).   Sammy is his name.  He is three years old and the cuddliest little 'puppy' you'll ever find.  All week he wanted his mommy!

So here we are on Friday and he is getting small doses of Pedialite and cottage cheese/rice.  I haven't had to clean up any messes today - yay!  This is progress...  Hopefully, he'll be able to eat and drink normally in a few more days.  Have you ever had to shove a disgusting tasting pill down your dog's throat without the aid of cheese or peanut butter?  Not a pretty site I tell ya!

Except for having to go back to the dentist for my permanent (crown), that's pretty much been my week.  Oh... I think this is hilarious!  The last day of work for my DH is April 1.  No joke!  How ironic is that?  Sigh...  On the bright side, we've had the money to pay for the vet, for the dentist, for the notary...  God is good and He always provides : )

Now for the real reason you've come...  Ta Da!  It's another Fairy Fun Fridays Challenge.  This week, the Fairy challenged us to use complimentary colors - red and green, blue and orange or yellow and purple.  I've used 'All Cracked Up' which is a freebie Here.

Who Says Girls Can't Wear Blue?

Hello, my friends!  I want to thank everyone for leaving me such wonderful comments and encouraging me yesterday.  I appreciate it sooooo much.  You'll be happy to know that our financial appointment went well yesterday.  Both my DH and I were pleasantly surprised.  Now comes the next steps in putting the plan into place.  Reality sucks sometimes...  But, again I say -- God ALWAYS brings us through : )

Today I have another adorable image to show you from Karen's Doodles.  This is 'Bunny Girl' - you can find her Here.  There is also a boy image which includes a flipped version so you can sit both the girl and boy together.  Oh soooo cuuute! The Challenge at Karen's Doodles this week is an Easter/Spring Theme.  And this is what you could win:
Here's where you can go to link your creations: US Challenge Blog.  Here's what I came up with...

A funny thing happened (NOT!) while I was coloring this...  I was gonna make an Easter card for my nephews.  How perfect!  I'll put two boys together, one smaller than the other.  I got that all done, printed it out and began coloring.  Eeeewww - it was not coming together like I planned.  Oh well, I'll just start over using one image to save time.  I was almost done when I realized that I had colored the girl instead of the boy!  Sigh... guess this won't go to my nephews after all ~ lol!

See you back here tomorrow!

May God bless you, keep you and comfort your soul ~

A Warm Hello in Green

*See post below for Fairy Fun Fridays*

Good morning, my friends!  It's another week almost over.  I must say that this week has been quite productive for me.  My friend, Mandy would say it's probably because I've had waaaay too much sugar - lol!  Well, that's only partially correct : )  And it's partially correct because the lovely True gave me the biggest candy bar in her blog candy I received last week.  Do you think that I could have saved it?  Would you?  It was just sittin there, screaming at me - I HAD to eat it - hee hee!

I have a confession... I wasn't sure if I was going to like making this card.  I've seen some gorgeous creations with Sweet Pea stamps and they looked difficult.  I was a little intimidated... but as I began to color her, I saw the potential of what MY creation was supposed to be.  So, here's my version of a CAS (clean and simple) Sweet Pea stamp.  Many thanks to Lynette for supplying the Fussy and Fancy DT with these wonderful stamps!  I really DID have fun making this card : )

Copics Used:
Hair:  E99 E97 Y21 Y11

Little Miss Mousey Gift Bag

Yes!  It's time once again for another Fairy Fun Fridays Challenge!  This week the Fairy has challenged us to use tissue paper.  Whatever you'd like to do with tissue paper, anything goes.  The first thing I thought of when challenged with this was tissue paper on a candle.  The only problem was that I wasn't willing to take a chance on getting tissue paper stuck in my printer!  I would say that is one draw back to digital images... but the benefits are so much greater : )  So after my first disappointment of not being able to do the candle, I came up with this:

Where's the tissue paper, you ask?  The bag is made with tissue paper and freezer paper.  I first cut a length of freezer paper I thought would be a good size.  Then I crumpled up a large piece of tissue paper (I got this mega size tissue paper from Costco a zillion years ago).  I smoothed out the tissue paper with my hands and placed over the shiny side of the freezer paper.  The next step is to iron it on!  You need to be sure that the tissue paper is larger than the freezer paper so your iron doesn't stick.  Now you have a sturdy piece of textured paper to use for whatever your heart desires!  I stamped the flowers and leaves all over the tissue paper and then wrapped it around a graham cracker box (you can use any size you want) and left the top open to create a gift bag.

Here's a close up of the adorable Little Miss Mousey.  She can be purchased Here.  I've colored her with copics and atyou Spica pens, detailed with Diamond glaze.  MS deep edge punch for the top of the bag, Paper Shapers Wave Flourish punch, spacers from Stamp and Create, Daisy Doodles flowers by Prima, brads, gems and ribbon from Michael's.

This was such a fun challenge : )  Thank you so much, Roberta! Don't forget to check out the challenge and see what the other DTs have created!
