Purple-iscious Gift Card Holder and Purse

Greetings ya'll!!!  Have you heard the latest terminology (well, it's probably old already...but it's new to me!)?  As we blog hop and surf the web, we are actually blurfing!  Yes, that's right, it sounds like something my sons came up with - lol!  But I think that they would reference 'barfing' somewhere in there...   Oh well, whatever we call it - girls just wanna have fu-un!!!  Go ahead, I know you want to - hee hee... sing it, baby!

Today's project gave me one problem after another.  You know what I mean - some days things are effortless and come together so well, then there are those other days, grrrrr!  I mean really, how can such a little piece of paper have such power over me - ha ha!  Well, I am here to tell ya that I won :D  I do like the finished product.  It reminds me so much of my sister.  She loves purple!  I just may have to 'surprise' her with it : )  The only thing would be if she sees this post before I get a chance to give it to her!

This 'clean and simple' gift card holder features Prairie Fairy's Digi Coneflower which you can find in her Bugs n Blooms line.  I kept it simple so that it would fit nicely in the coordinating purse.  Oh so sweet!

Colored with Copics, highlighted with white Sharpie
Digi paper from Gina Jane Cottage Roses
Buttons and embroidery thread from stash

Here's the inside which features a corner pocket which is perfect for 'hiding' a gift card, money, even a packet of hot chocolate or cider!  Digi paper is from the same collection (Gina Jane Cottage Roses).  Lace punch is MS.

The purse is called Perfect Purse from Gina K's Perfect Patterns designed by Carolyn King.  You can find it Here.

I used a coordinating paper on the inside of the strap (hard to see here).  Stitched the front and back together and punched the eyelet lace with MS punch.  Can you see the butterfly charm and purple bead?  I added this to the ribbon tied in a knot which I placed through the silver eyelet.

Here's the back side

After all my whining, I really did enjoy this project - lol!  I might even make a few more...now that all the kinks have been worked through!  Thanks for taking a peek : )

Before you go, I want to encourage you to head on over to Fairy Fun Fridays Challenge.  Why not join us this week?

May God bless you, keep you and comfort your soul ~
