Love Love Love

OK I confess! I can not take credit for the theme of my card today... I hijacked it from Susana (even though she has no idea what I'm talking about lol!). I needed an "Inspired by a Song" card and Susana was *singing* Love Love Love which fit so perfectly. So the song entitled, "Love Love Love" is my inspiration!!! Thank you so much, Susana - you rock!

This is With All My Heart which is a freebie at Prairie Fairy's Group on Paper Craft Planet. You can find it Here! I know it's past Valentine's Day, but he's just so darn cute and lovable!!!

Today is Fairy Fun Fridays Challenge #47. Inspired by a Song! This is what I came up with using the song "Love Love Love." Hmmmm... where have I heard that before? lol!

So get your music caps on and come join in the FUN! The DT of course has some awesome inspiration for ya :)

AND... I've received an award from the lovely Meera from Craftolicious! Thank you so much, sweetie ♥
As usual, I'm running late for bed... so I won't be able to follow the instructions. I think the older I get, the more rebellious side of me comes out lol! What? Not follow the rules? Oh, the waaaay younger me would never think of it!!! Bwwwaaaahaaaahaaaaa!

See you tomorrow!

May God bless you, keep you and comfort your soul ~

Vintage Beauty

Hello lovely friends! I'm at it again... it's already the wee hours of the morning (I should have gone to bed 4 hours ago!) Shhhhh.. don't tell, I'm trying to get to bed earlier, but I just had too much going on today. I promise to get more sleep tomorrow - which actually is today lol!

Well, I'm just so excited to share my card with you!!! I LOVE this image by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD. I do believe it's my current favorite :) Here's Cameo Rose...

Isn't she a beauty??? My inspiration was the stamp itself, so when I was shopping, I knew I wanted to find some kind of cameo embellishment. I think I found the perfect accent to adorn the tulle double bow, don't you?

Here's a close up of the double bow with dots of stickles :)

Can you see the fabulous Maya Mist? The whole card is spritzed with Iridescent Pearl. I LOVE the shimmer! This image cuts out perfectly with the Spellbinders Classic Small Oval (the largest one in the set). Isn't that cool? The oval is matted with the scalloped oval and is adhered with dimensionals. Susana doesn't have the size oval I used, but she does have the Large Oval Set Here and the Large Scalloped Oval (15% off!) Here.

I've colored up this beauty with copics of course... B97 B95 B93 B91; R85 R83 R81; C9 C7 C5 C3, E11 E21 E00 R20; G28 G24 G20. For the gorgeous bling on the flowers, I used Stardust Stickles. The cream pearls were created with Cream Viva Decor Paper Pen. You know how much I LOVE my paper pens. As you can see, there are a variety of sizes on this card and especially with all the little ones around the scallop, the Paper Pens are a money saver! I've also added a few pink rhinestones around the frame as well as a 'necklace' for her.

Dp is Memory Box Brioche - it's so pretty! Oh the mini roses are by Prima (25% off!) and I've used a NEW PRODUCT which I can not tell you yet what it is... but I've used it numerous times and I will say that I LOVE it!!! Keep your eyes open to find out what it is :)

Thank you so much for visiting! I truly appreciate you taking the time to come see me ♥

See you soon!

Flowers for You & New Goodies!

Just another quick post from me... it's waaaaay past my bedtime and I need to get up in just over 6 hours - well, I could actually push it for another hour, but then I rush to get out the door!

My card today is one I posted for the Color Me Creative Flower Challenge which was last week. This week's challenge is:

Use all different Blues & Aquas AND color some WATER

Use your copic techniques and coloring to color any image with a variety of blue/aqua colors AND your image must have some sort of water in it (rain, puddle, water in a vase, sea, ponds, etc).

Oh how that intimidates me! Not sure what I'll come up with ACK!!!

I love this digi by Tiffany's Doodles called Dahlia w/oval. It comes with two images: obviously this one lol and a second with the flowers in a vase. The digi is sized to used with nesties - how cool is that?

NEW MUST SEE PRODUCTS!
(I just went shopping... you better hurry!)
4 Brand New My Minds Eye Paper Pads

CANDY UPDATE:
I have finally taken the photo and am getting ready to upload everything - tomorrow... I don't think my brain works anymore tonight... I think you'll really like what I've collected for you :)

See ya tomorrow!

May God bless you, keep you and comfort your soul ~

Sending Hugs n Kisses Your Way!

Happy Thursday to you, my sweet friends ♥ Have I told you lately how much I love you? I DO I DO!! You truly have made my life so much richer by your presence. Thank you for taking the time to visit my little blog (hugz)

Today I have a card featuring Blowing Kisses by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD. This is an exclusive SCACD stamp from the NEW 2011 Spring Sampler Set. This collection is ADORABLE!

She's stamped with Memento Ink and colored with my fave coloring medium, copics, in the following colors: RV32 RV11 RV10 RV00; E49 E59 E25 E53; E11 E21 E00 R20. She's got to have some sparkle too, so I've covered her here and there with Stardust Stickles!

Even though it's past Valentine's Day, I decided that this image needed some heart paper. Hearts can be used all year, don't you think? I love Bo Bunny's Crush Collection. It's 15% off right now and there's so many cute papers! Die cuts are Spellbinders Classic Large Circle and Classic Large Scalloped Circle. I used a MS heart border punch for the 'lace'.

It's a tag as well as a card! The ribbon is sandwiched between two scalloped circle layers. If I had thought farther in advance, I would have used a white scalloped circle instead of black so that a message could be written. Well, I suppose if one really wanted to, they could use a white or metallic pen that would show up on black!

Here's my RECYCLED element. I took the larger pink flower from an arrangement I have and added a small rose in the center. Can you tell that I love pink?

Challenges Entered:
BnW - Fave things with Heart
Craft Your Passion - #45 Use Pink
Cupcake Craft - #129 I ♥ You

It's all about Love

Hello my sweet friends! I pray you are having a week filled with rays of warm sunshine :) Today actually was very pleasant here in California! It is so nice to see the sun...just warms my soul ♥

If you've been following the saga of my hubby and his struggle to get his license to drive truck, you know that it's been quite a roller coaster ride for both of us! He was soooooo close to passing today, but then his backup skills didn't make the cut. Sigh. If I'm tired of it all, I can only imagine what he's been feeling! I am so proud of him though. He's never worked harder for something he's wanted so badly. So... if he continues to pursue this career, he'll have to start all over (again). Please pray that God will make His will known regarding this and that my hubby will follow in obedience! I KNOW how powerful prayer is, and I'm asking for your support. It means so much to me - thank you!

Now on to this week's Try It Out *T*... we have a color challenge with a twist! Use red or pink, and white or cream - make it about Love ♥. When given the choice, I default to pink, so I'm kinda surprised at what I came up with!

This is Cupcake and Kittens by Carmen Medlin for SCACD from the Reflections Set #2. Pretty adorable, huh?

I know this is quite busy, so I've kept the image pretty 'calm.' She's stamped with Memento Ink, colored with copics and just the right amount of stickles added for a touch of pizazz! lol! The pearls are made simply (and easily I might add lol!) with my Viva Decor Opal Paper Pen. EVERY TIME I use these paper pens, I fall in love all over again! I am not kidding!!! :)

Here's a close up of the MS heart I punched and blanketed with Glamour Dust (which is 15% off right now!). To continue with the red and white theme, I had to add a tiny red bow :) Do you see the 'lace' behind the scalloped oval (which is also 15% off!)? Not the real lace, but the paper 'lace.' It's made from the MS heart punch! To complete this Love Theme, I tied a bow from white satin ribbon and popped a red heart on top, put a few beads on the pin and tucked it under the bow - voila! You can find similar pins Here.

Oh... I almost forgot! The dp is from the Crush Collection by Bo Bunny (15% off!). You can find it Here!

Thanks for visiting today :) Come back soon... time is ticking for me to gather together my celebration CANDY and get the photo here so you can seeeeeeee!

Until next time...
May God bless you, keep you and comfort your soul ~

It's a New Day Hop and Candy!

Welcome back friends! Today is a very exciting day. Not only is it Friday (yay!!!) but I get to showcase a fabulous stamp by Elisabeth Bell - does it get any better than this? LOL

It's a New Day Release HOP begins at Suzanne's blog. If you've come here from Mary's blog, you are right on track! So here we go :)

Be sure to read all the way to the bottom cuz there is some important CANDY information you'll want to know about!

I'd like to introduce you to Letter to a Friend by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD from her Brand New Spring Sampler Set.

She's colored with my very favorite medium, copics! Blouse, ribbon and flowers - R29 R27 R24 R22; Jeans - B97 B95 B93 B91; Stump - E18 E17 E15 E13; Hat, shoes and paper - E53 E50; Grass - G28 G24 G21 G20. Gotta have some stickles bling, of course, and some Sharpie paint pen for a bit of highlighting!

I've distressed the edges of the paper pieced hearts and envelope as well as the doily and punched borders with Frayed Burlap Distress Ink. The gorgeous blue pearls were created with Light Blue Viva Decor Pearl Pen.

Here's a close-up of one of the elements I paper-pieced and attached with dimensionals. I used 1/8" ribbon to create a tiny bow and edged the seams of the quilted heart with stardust stickles. The sentiment was already on the envelope... I just covered it with Diamond Glaze to create an 'epoxy sticker.' I AM being bold to show you this close up cuz real stickers aren't so wobbly looking LOL!

The flower is cut out twice and layered, then stickled around the edge and a cute lil button glued in the center. All that was glued onto my beautiful bow which I created with the Bow Easy - LOVE this tool!
I've used the fabulous sketch from CLP Sketch Challenge #33.

Try It Out *T* is Back!

Hello my friends! I have some fabulous news to share with you... First, I'd like to thank you for praying for me for my doctor appointment on Monday. I felt God's presence and His peace :) The good news is that after my next appointment in April (which will be FOUR years since diagnosed with breast cancer!) I'll only have to go back ONCE a year - yipppppeeeeeee! I can't describe how HUGE hearing that news was!!! I give God all the glory - He's healed me and sustains my health each and every day.

Please skip this paragraph if you'd rather not read this next part which is disturbing news. While I was in the examining room, the doctor was called out to take a couple of phone calls so I had a good amount of time to lie down and rest. I found myself praying for her, for the burdens that she must carry (and I began thinking about how hard it was for her as well as the other doctors to make the decision to recommend that I have a double mastectomy). She lives the reality of breast cancer everyday through her patients. So... when she came back I told her that I was praying for her. She thanked me and told me that although she only had 16 patients that day 11 of them were for breast cancer! ELEVEN women dealing with the horror of breast cancer - and that is only ONE doctor in ONE practice! Please, please tell me that you are having regular mammograms and check ups. Although hearing the diagnosis of breast cancer is scary, waiting until it is incurable is much worse!!! We want to have you around for many years to come ♥

Now that I've completely ruined your day... let's move on to a much brighter topic! I've slowly been collecting some goodies for ya :) My hubby's still out of work, so I don't have much extra to spend right now BUT I just have to celebrate!!! Keep your eyes peeled for a bit of "sweet stuff" as Jacque would say. I know that you know who I'm talking about lol! Some people only need their first name (like Bev!) and we all know who we're talking about!

Now on to my Try It Out *T* card. Suzanne (another one namer lol!) has given us a recipe challenge this week. You may have to hunt for the three designer papers, the four flowers could be interpreted a couple of ways, and the button is non existent (I cheated - but it just didn't work on this card!). The rest of the recipe is to add one ribbon and one fun product from Susana's Custom Art & Card Design - done!

The image I've used is from Carmen Medlin for SCACD Reflections Set #1. There are two BONUS stamps when you purchase the set Here. This is Peony which is one of the bonus stamps and can not be purchased separately.

Yep... just one lonely flower on this one, but it has company already from the bunch of roses on this GORGEOUS paper by pinkpaislee called Sweetness.

Peony was a snap to color using my fave copics: R27 R24 R22 R20; G28 G24 G21 G20. You can see that the stickles is not quite dry in this photo lol! Who has time to wait????

Have you discovered the 3 patterned papers? One is obviously the main dp, the other two are tucked under the beautiful ribbon which I received from Chelsea (LOVE IT!!!). MS heart punch for borders and the amazing pearl/rose flourish I picked up at Michael's.

The sentiment is a 50 cent find also at Michael's - gotta love those deals! I die cut and embossed the label, then sponged Tea Dye Distress Ink in the center.

So... what do you think?

I'm hoping to get things together for a photo so you can see the CANDY I will have in the next few days...

Thank you for taking the time to visit!

May God bless you, keep you and comfort your soul ~
