Make Your Own Scrolls!

Hello sweet friends!  I am enjoying all the inspiration and your fave verses - thank you so much for sharing them with me : )  My 'Feeling Punchy' Candy is open until August 31 Here.  I'd like to share one of my fave verses with you... "He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you will find refuge."  Psalm 91:4.  God is our ultimate 'safe place!'  I do adore Him so...

I promised a few days ago that I'd put together a tutorial on how I made my scrolls.  One card used Viva Decor Glitter Liner Here; the other used Viva Decor Transparent Gloss Gel and Flower Soft Here.  For this tutorial, I'm using Viva Decor Transparent Gloss Gel and Glamour Dust!  It is soooo pretty!

Here are the materials you will need:

Stamp of your choice (I used Prima - Nouveau)
Transparency (or waxed paper)
 or Viva Decor Glitter Liner
**Experiment also with Glitter, Flower Soft, Flocking Powder, etc..

Using Memento Ink, stamp on transparency, carefully lifting the block so the image doesn't smear.
You can also stamp on paper and place waxed paper on top instead of transparency.

*Important step!  Turn transparency over and apply Gloss Gel over (now reversed) stamped image using consistent pressure.  If you apply Gloss Gel directly onto the stamped image, the ink will transfer to your scroll.

Sprinkle Glamour Dust over Gloss Gel while wet.

Tap off excess glitter onto scrap paper and return to bottle.  Set aside scroll to dry.
Drying time may differ in your climate - overnight is best to start with.

Carefully peel off dried Gloss Gel.

The scrolls at the top are Transparent Gloss Gel and Glamour Dust.
The scrolls in the middle are Transparent Gloss Gel and Pink Glitter.
The scroll on the bottom left is Transparent Gloss Gel and Gold Embossing Powder - when dried I used my heat gun.
The scroll on the bottom right is Transparent Gloss Gel and Glamour Dust - when dried I gently dabbed color on with my copics.

I have also used Viva Decor Glitter Liner using the same process (except for the Glamour Dust).  It can be thicker, depending on how you apply it.  Experiment with different products and see what you like.
I was not happy with the results when I used the Pearl Pen.  It flattened out and when I tried to peel it off, it crumbled.  If you try the Pearl Pen and have good results, please let me know!  I've also heard that the Paper Pen is not recommended for this technique.  That really makes me sad 'cuz you know how much I love my Paper Pens : )

I hope you enjoyed my little tutorial.  Please let me know if you have any questions!

Have a fabulous week ♥

May God bless you, keep you and comfort your soul ~

Such a good idea, I`m sure you can do this with different kinds of material, maybe I`ll try with some of what I have lying around.
Thanks for the tips! :)
