Hello my friends! I have some fabulous news to share with you... First, I'd like to thank you for praying for me for my doctor appointment on Monday. I felt God's presence and His peace :) The good news is that after my next appointment in April (which will be FOUR years since diagnosed with breast cancer!) I'll only have to go back ONCE a year - yipppppeeeeeee! I can't describe how HUGE hearing that news was!!! I give God all the glory - He's healed me and sustains my health each and every day.
Please skip this paragraph if you'd rather not read this next part which is disturbing news. While I was in the examining room, the doctor was called out to take a couple of phone calls so I had a good amount of time to lie down and rest. I found myself praying for her, for the burdens that she must carry (and I began thinking about how hard it was for her as well as the other doctors to make the decision to recommend that I have a double mastectomy). She lives the reality of breast cancer everyday through her patients. So... when she came back I told her that I was praying for her. She thanked me and told me that although she only had 16 patients that day 11 of them were for breast cancer! ELEVEN women dealing with the horror of breast cancer - and that is only ONE doctor in ONE practice! Please, please tell me that you are having regular mammograms and check ups. Although hearing the diagnosis of breast cancer is scary, waiting until it is incurable is much worse!!! We want to have you around for many years to come ♥
Now that I've completely ruined your day... let's move on to a much brighter topic! I've slowly been collecting some goodies for ya :) My hubby's still out of work, so I don't have much extra to spend right now BUT I just have to celebrate!!! Keep your eyes peeled for a bit of "sweet stuff" as Jacque would say. I know that you know who I'm talking about lol! Some people only need their first name (like Bev!) and we all know who we're talking about!
Now on to my Try It Out *T* card. Suzanne (another one namer lol!) has given us a recipe challenge this week. You may have to hunt for the three designer papers, the four flowers could be interpreted a couple of ways, and the button is non existent (I cheated - but it just didn't work on this card!). The rest of the recipe is to add one ribbon and one fun product from Susana's Custom Art & Card Design - done!
The image I've used is from Carmen Medlin for SCACD Reflections Set #1. There are two BONUS stamps when you purchase the set Here. This is Peony which is one of the bonus stamps and can not be purchased separately.
Yep... just one lonely flower on this one, but it has company already from the bunch of roses on this GORGEOUS paper by pinkpaislee called Sweetness.
Peony was a snap to color using my fave copics: R27 R24 R22 R20; G28 G24 G21 G20. You can see that the stickles is not quite dry in this photo lol! Who has time to wait????
Have you discovered the 3 patterned papers? One is obviously the main dp, the other two are tucked under the beautiful ribbon which I received from Chelsea (LOVE IT!!!). MS heart punch for borders and the amazing pearl/rose flourish I picked up at Michael's.
The sentiment is a 50 cent find also at Michael's - gotta love those deals! I die cut and embossed the label, then sponged Tea Dye Distress Ink in the center.
So... what do you think?
I'm hoping to get things together for a photo so you can see the CANDY I will have in the next few days...
Thank you for taking the time to visit!
May God bless you, keep you and comfort your soul ~

Wonderful post Lori! I am recovering from a large biopsy that I had a couple weeks ago on my right breast. It was my very first mammogram and they had found a large cluster of micro calcificaitons that they were pretty much convinced were Cancer or at the very least pre-cancer. My pathology report came back totally benign. Talk about Praising the Lord. I'm glad you are doing well and that you told the Doctor you were praying for her. I imagine it really gets to them in that life of medicine. Big Hugz
whoohooo so thankful for such good news!
And of course your card is beyond gorgeous!
