For You My Dear Friend ♥

Hiya!  As I'm writing this post, I have my little furbaby over my shoulder... In my post yesterday, I told you that he is just a baby (a four year old baby!).  I'm tellin' ya...he acts just like one.  He loves to cuddle and put his head on my shoulder!  It's WONDERFUL when it's cold : )  He's the best heater!

Well, I'm still gone on a business trip, but wanted to get this posted so you could see another fabulous image by Carmen Medlin for SCACD.  This is definitely one of my favorite stamps from the new Natural Beauty Collection.  Here's my take on Gathering Love:
This card has already gone to a good home...  one of my dear friends had a birthday on Saturday and I decided that she needed this beauty.  I chose the color palette she likes... which is not one that I normally use... but have decided that I needed to get out of the box more often!  Do you find that you reach for your favorite colors most often too?  It's so easy to do.  When I use colors or a style of paper that isn't my first choice, I actually am not sure if it looks good.  Isn't that funny?  Then... of course, I think, 'Maybe what I think is beautiful, someone else is gagging!' LOL!!!  Oh well.

I do think this card is pretty and turned out nice : )  She's stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Cryogen White and colored with copicsHair - E35 E34 YR21 YR20; Dress - Y17 Y15 Y13 Y11; Bow/Flower/Hearts - YR24 YR16 YR15 YR14 YR12 YR01 YR00; Grass/leaves - YG63 YG05 YG03 YG01.

Papers are printed from Nitwit.  I'm really enjoying using digi papers cuz you can print them over and over as many times as you need!  Roses are Prima and Cream Pearls from Viva Decor Paper Pen.  I've added Citrus Crush Ultra Fine Flower Soft over the grass area for the feeling of being in a meadow... Isn't she the sweetest?  Yes... just for you, my Dear Friend!!!

I'll be back in a few days with more projects... I'm hoping to have some serious coloring time while I'm gone!  I'm almost positive that I won't have access to a computer, so I'll miss you :(  Maybe my phone will be charged enough at the right time to be able to hop over to a few of your blogs!

See you soon, my lovely friends

May God bless you, keep you and comfort your soul~

Fun in the Sun

Today is the first day of Spring! Really? I was just singing *It's raining it's pouring... the old man is snoring...* My oh my - you DO have a wonderful voice hee hee! Well, today I can repeat my song! Apparently, the weather forecast is rain ALL week (sigh). A little rain is good. A lot of rain is good while I am cozy in my bed...but ALL week long? Part of the trouble is that for the past 3 days, the electricity has been on and off - off and on! Grrrrrr.... it makes it very hard to stay in the lines while I'm coloring LOL

So...to celebrate, I'm having a Fun in the Sun party! Wanna join me? Just leave me a comment telling me what you enjoy doing in the summertime! There just may be a SURPRISE hidden for you :)

Today I have a wonderful sunshine-filled card to show ya! This is an exclusive stamp in the Sweet Meets Sassy Collection by Victoria Case for SCACD called Just Chillin'. Can you feel the warmth of the sun yet?

I've colored this beach babe with copics: E35 E34 YR21 YR20; E11 E21 E00 R20; B18 B16 B14 B12. For her dramatic eyes, I've used Lavender atyou Spica pen, Plum Berry Smooch and a touch of Stardust Stickles! Also, I've added a drop of Diamond Glaze on each lense of her sunglasses, her eyes and luscious glass of lemonade - well... what did you think she was drinking? lol

She's all cozy, snuggled up in the warmth of the sand. Ahhhhhh... I remember that feeling! To create the warm sand, I've used Toffee Ultrafine Flowersoft. To create the soft sky background, I simply used BG000 in soft circles (I didn't even blend it *gasp!*) You can see the sky better in the close up above.

The umbrella is a print n cut image from Nitwit. I used a sticky strip for dimension and gave it two generous coats of Ice Crystal Glamour Dust Ultra Fine Glitter Paint. I LOVE this stuff! I also painted the blue swirls to give it some shimmer too. I also LOVE these rhinestone swirls! It's part of a larger swirl. The sets of 3 rhinestones came from the same swirl. Multi-purpose... YAY!

Oooops... I almost forgot to tell you that this FABULOUS sketch came from the uber-talented Chelsea. I am ashamedly late posting this card for the CLP Sketch Challenge, but the good news is that you still have time to join in the fun for March!

I'm entering this card in the following challenge:
Bling It On - Anything Goes (option of charm)

If you haven't entered to win my mega CANDY, you can find it Here. Ends this Friday, March 25 at 11:59 PST.

***Now... don't forget to leave me a comment on this post only (as noted at the top). I will choose one person who will win some fabulous rhinestone swirls!! Ends Sunday, April 27.

I hope you've enjoyed my project and will come back often :) I appreciate all the lovely comments you leave. It makes my heart smile!!!

May God bless you, keep you and comfort your soul ~

Look Out Below!

Happy Wednesday friends! Half the week is over already... I don't know about you, but I'm feeling like a total sluuuuuug these days. You don't think it could be all the pie and candy I've been eating do you? lol! It is definitely time to get serious. I'm just hoping that the weight I lost during the first 12 weeks of First Place 4 Health hasn't ALL come back - WAHHHHHHHHH!
Why is it so EASY to put weight on, but so DIFFICULT to get rid of??? The next 12 weeks of First Place 4 Health begins on January 19. I'm looking forward to getting back on track...getting to bed earlier...feeling better because I'm eating properly... you know, all the things that are good for us, but are so hard to do? lol!

My card today was so much fun to create. I love all of Elisabeth Bell's images and this one's right up there in my 'love' category : ) She's called, 'Look Out Below,' an exclusive stamp only at SCACD! Isn't she a beauty?

I've had this snowflake die cut for awhile, and I was so excited to be able to use it! Yes, I am easily amused lol! I also got to use my fave Viva Decor Opal Paper Pen - yippeeeeee!

The sparkly snowflake ribbon with the metal snowflake in the center are both compliments of Jo-Ann's (no, not free... I had to give them every penny hee hee)

She's colored with copics: Hair - E49 E59 E25 E53; Purples - BV04 BV02 BV01 BV00; Greens - G28 G21 G12 G00; Sled - E57 E55 E53 E51.

Stardust Stickles everywhere and a touch of Flower Soft in Lilac on her hat create lots of visual interest :) I don't think you can see it, but the sled also got a nice thick, shiny coat of Diamond Glaze. We don't want her to get any slivers do we? Especially not as she sits! ha ha

First Snowball of Winter

Today begins a new week at work for many - and oh so difficult after the Christmas/New Year break! However, I am not one of them... at least I do not have an office or a particular 'job' to go to. One of my jobs is housework like cooking and cleaning - ugh! Another of my jobs is the ministry work in and out of church; and still another is to exercise and then hang out at Starbucks. Well, somebody's got to do it lol!!! Back to the old grindstone hee hee...

This is a card I made about a month ago I think, but I never got around to posting. I've used First Snowball of Winter by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD Winter Sampler. Susana has had too much free time, so give her a visit sooooon (JUST KIDDING!!!). Susana always works double time and gives us all the best service : ) But do pop on over and check out the NEW PRODUCTS she has in the store!!! Just wait... your eyes are gonna pop out like mine did!

I've used Viva Decor Glitter Liner to enhance the swirl die cut as well as a bit more bling on her hat and jeans. For snow on the ground, I glued Polar White Flower Soft (15% off!) up and under her shoes so it looks like she's 'in' the snow :)

For a soft furry trim, her jacket got the Sparkly fluff treatment as well as the pom pom on her hat! I think I over did her eyes a bit lol! I wanted them to be nice and shiny, but I made the hole on my Diamond Glaze bottle too big - sigh... she has the prettiest eyes though!

The silver ribbon lace and snowflakes came from Jo-Ann's...

Thanks for stopping by my little part of the world :) Please pray for my hubby this week. He is trying to obtain a license so he can drive truck. Things haven't gone smoothly... Please pray that God's will be done! I appreciate it more than you know!!!

May God bless you, keep you and comfort your soul ~

Elisabeth Bell's BIGGGEST December Blog Candy!

Hey there! The clock is ticking louder and louder these days. Minutes seem to go by much faster than I'd like (at least until after Christmas!). I've pretty much done all the shopping - including a few stocking stuffers. As usual, I still need to wrap, wrap, wrap! Anybody have nothing to do and want to hang with me for a few hours? I didn't think so lol!

Have you seen the incredible BIGGGEST December Blog Candy on Elisabeth Bell's blog? I mean it is seriously BIGGGG! I may not qualify to enter since I'm on the DT at SCACD, but I really, really WANT to enter, so I'm gonna try :) This is my card using Carousel Dreams by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD Sampler Edition #5. Isn't it a beauty? Elisabeth has such FABULOUS images!!!

I made this card awhile ago and it has been sold to a lovely lady in my hometown. She bought it for a friend's 80th birthday! Isn't that the sweetest? Happy Birthday, Mary : )

Here's a close-up showing you the Rasberry Fizz Ultra Fine Flower Soft! Instead of coloring the flowers, I used the Flower Soft for color... The rest is colored with copics: Horse - E59 E53 E51 E50; Mane, Tail, Hooves, Pole - E18 E17 E15 E 13; Reigns, Saddle - RV34, RV32 RV11 RV10 RV00; Leaves - G28 G21 G20. The entire card received a few spritz's of Maya Mist in Iridescent Pearl. I hope you can see it!

Here's the 'rarely decorated' inside! I do love the look of the inside beauty matching the outside, but most times I am rushing to get the outside done lol! The dp is Gossamer by Memory Box. I LOVE these papers!!! The border punch is by Fiskars and the half pearls are MS I believe.

Now... I've realized that I have a TON of cards that I haven't posted yet - can you believe it??? Hopefully, I can post in the next few days and in the days following Christmas. Better late than never?!?!

Thank you for taking your precious time to come visit me! I appreciate it so very very much!!!

I'll see you again tomorrow : )

May God bless you, keep you and comfort your soul ~

Wheeeeeeeeeee!!!

Jesus is the Reason for the Season Blog Hop
HERE

Good morning, my friends! Happy Thursday to you... Has your week flown by as fast as mine has? I've had some fun shopping this week, but also had a dreaded dentist appointment that I kept putting off until my broken tooth started hurting. Somehow that ends procrastination pretty quickly lol! So here we are on Thursday already...

I've been visiting a few of you at a time when I get the chance, and many of you are saying how cold it is. Some of you are even having snow! I am sitting here once again with my puppy dog heater, all warm and cozy... but when I poke my nose out from under the ribbon and paper, you are absolutely right - it's downright f-f-f-freezin'!!!

Well, I say that IF you have to be in the cold, you should at least have fun while you're in it! I've made this fun and freezin' cold card using I Got Your Back by Victoria Case for SCACD Winter Hearts and Hugs Set. Doesn't it just make you smile? It cracks me up! I LOVE it!!!

She's having such a wonderful time sledding down the snowy slope with that cute lil' penguin holding on lol! Admit it... it made you giggle, didn't it? Even if it wasn't an out loud giggle, your insides were cracking up, huh? huh? huh?

Here you can see a close up of the sparkly swirls. I used my Cricut to cut them out of acetate, then covered them with Viva Decor Transparent Gloss Gel and sprinkled Glamour Dust on top! I used this same technique for the snowflakes, then added a beautiful rhinestone in the center. Oh so easy to make with fabulous products!

This oh so fun image is colored with my fave copics: Hair - E49 E59 E25 E53; Skin - E11 E21 E00 R20; Clothing - BG18 BG13 BG11 BG10; Scarf and Mittens - R39 R37 R35; Sled - E29 E27 E25/C5 C1; Penguin - C9 C7 C5 C3 C1. To keep her ears warm, I've covered her ear muffs with Sugar Sparkly Fluff! To keep in style while having fun, she's also wearing some bling-y accessories which was easily created with stickles.

The Christmas papers are Memory Box Tinsel Collection. I love Memory Box papers, they are such good quality and come in lots of great patterns! This collection, as well as others are on SALE right now. Better get yours while they're still in stock!

Once again, I've created the snow scene using Polar White Flower Soft. You already know how much I LOVE to use this for snow!!! I'm sure that you'll be seeing this again and again and again hee hee!

Snow Much Fun

Happy Saturday!!! I am sooooo glad to say that this week is over! It has been a pretty hectic one. For those of you who celebrate Thanksgiving, I'm wondering if your attire includes elastic waistbands today lol! I surely would be wearing some nice comfy sweat pants if I had any that were clean... but oh nooooo, I have on a pair of jeans that cut off proper digestion!!! That'll teach me to keep up with the laundry!

However, I am wearing a nice and warm sweatshirt since it's just above freezing in my kitchen where I have my work desk. Brrrrrrrrrrrr... I need my little heater (my puppy dog, Sammy!). I'm so glad that he's a cuddler - that is until Summertime.

So to go along with my frozen fingers and my c-c-c-cold theme, I've chosen to share this card with you which features Snow Fun by Victoria Case for SCACD mini Winter Hearts and Hugs Set.
I've used copics to color up this sweetie-pie: Clothing - R39 R37 R35; Boots - E18 E17 E15 E13; Hair - E49 E59 E25 E53; Skin - E11 E21 E00 R20. Lots of SCACD products on this card... Here's one that I haven't used for awhile: Liquid Applique for the snowballs. The pile of snowballs at her feet are not snow much defined (lol) as the actual balls in her hands, but it gives you the impression anyway. The rest of the snow is freshly fallen which was created using Polar White Flower Soft. I love to use this for realistic looking snow! Her fuzzy collar and top of boots got a sprinkling of Sugar Sparkly Fluff. Great texture all over the place!
In this close up, you can see the background which I created first using a stardust gel pen, then going over the dots with Diamond Stickles. I could have also used my atyou Spica pens, but they weren't as convenient to reach as the gel pen at the time... just saying... hee hee!

Do you like my snowflake? I covered a wooden snowflake with Inka-Gold and rubbed it a bit with my finger until it was bright and shiny (you can see the shine better in the first photo). Then I punched the smaller snowflake out of acetate and covered it with Viva Decor Transparent Gloss Gel. While it was still wet, I sprinkled Glamour Dust over the top and voila! I also attached a beautiful rhinestone in the center and dotted the ends of the large snowflake with Viva Decor Opal Paper Pen and you have yourself one very sparkly, shiny, oh so pretty snowflake!!!

I found it very interesting that although I covered the Prima Mini Roses with the same Diamond Stickles, the color changed between the white and red roses. It looks gold on the red, but it's not! Besides sewing the panels, they also got edged with Gold Stickles. I know what you're thinking... I got my stickles mixed up and really used the gold on the red roses, but honest... I did the roses at the same time and used the diamond!

SNOW MUCH FUN AT SCACD!!!

Let's Try This Again!

Well...my attempt at creating a snowflake bombed!!! It actually didn't look that bad UNTIL I messed with it a little bit more! It is now safely in the trash lol!!! The snowflake you will see on my card today is smaller and is a different shape, but I think looks waaaaaaaaay better than the first. Believe me... you are not missing anything by my trashing that ugly snowflake!

Since I accidentally posted yesterday, but didn't have the card to go with it, you may have a feeling of deja vu! Don't you love Victoria Case images? This is the MOST FUN set ever!!! I had a very hard time choosing, they are all so adorable : ) Thanks, Victoria ♥ I finally narrowed it down to I Heart Powder, from the mini Winter Hearts and Hugs Set by Victoria Case for SCACD.

Isn't she a beauty? I know she looks cold in all that snow, but she's safely bundled up and ready to hit the slopes! The 'powder' is Polar White Flower Soft. She's even kicked up some of it on her shiny boots which have a coat of Diamond Glaze over them so her feet don't get soggy lol!

She's colored with my usual copics: Skin - E11 E21 E00 R20; Hair - E35 E34 YR21 YR20; Ski pants/jacket - B02 B01 B00 B000; Boots/Gloves - C9 C7 C5; Red accents - R29 R27 R24. The cozy fluffy detail on her ski attire is Sugar Sparkly Fluff. It was a snap to use over my Quickie Glue pen. You can get in the smallest areas with this pen. I LOVE it!

Challenges Entered:
Critter Sketch Challenge - Texture
Kaboodle Doodles - 1 solid, 2 patterns, 3 embellishments

Here's a closeup of attempt snowflake #2. Here's the deal... I tried to use a die cut with a piece of clear material. It wasn't a transparency, but much thicker. After going over it about 4 or 5 times, it left an impression, but didn't cut through...SO...I just cut around it with scissors. Hence... my poor attempt #2 as well. I am being brave to show you this lol!!! The clear sparkly material over the entire snowflake is Twinklets Diamond Dust. Then I adhered a snowflake button in the center and covered it with Stickles. Other than the shape, I am fairly pleased with the way it looks...

Inspiration Blog Hop

Good morning, my friends! It's a beautiful Monday... My little puppy dog is up and walking! In case you missed it, he was injured and couldn't use his hind legs. He would use his front legs to scoot across the floor. It was so sad... The vet couldn't help him unless we came up with 4 to 5 thousand dollars for surgery! God had other plans though : ) Sammy has been walking for awhile now and he's getting stronger every day. He can now lift his leg to pee without falling over or propping it up against the fence lol! Our God cares about EVERY detail in our lives - even our pets! I give Him all the glory, honor and praise ♥ Thank You for healing Sammy, Jesus!!!

We've got a special guest hopping with us today! I'd like to give Mary Lou from Mary Lou's Corner a warm welcome!!! (If you've come from Anki's blog, you are right on track. If not, you may wish to start at the beginning which is Elaine's blog!)

I am so excited to share my cards with you today!!! There are two NEW RELEASES which you will see as you Hop along the Inspiration trail... The first image I've used is Shopping Buds from Victoria Case for SCACD mini Winter Hearts and Hugs Set.

Challenges Entered:
Cute Card Thursday's Challenge - Anything Goes,
Lily of the Valley's Challenge - Anything Goes
Creative Card Crew - Give Thanks

These two cuties are colored with copics: (Girl on left) Hair - E35 E34 YR21 YR20; Skin - E11 E21 E00 R20; Clothes/boots - E35 E34 E33 E31 E30; Stripes - G85 G40; Shopping bags - Black and Gold atyou Spica pens. (Girl on right) Hair - E49 E59 E25 E53; Coat and hat - G85 G82 G40; Boots - E59 E57 E53; Gift and bag - Black atyou Spica pen.

Yay - I got to use a new product! The red ribbon on the gift and red panel on the bag is Tonertex Foil. I'm not sure how well you can see the glittery shine... if you click on the photo, it should enlarge for you. The Tonertex starter pack comes with a write 'n' rub foiling pen and foil. You simply color in the area you which to 'foil' with the foiling pen. After the adhesive dries, place the foil colored side up and rub over it. Carefully peel back and see the WOW!!! For even more dimension, I've given the red foiled areas a coat of Diamond Glaze. Stardust Stickles gives additional interest over the Black atyou Spica pen.

Did you notice the White Sparkly Fluff on the fur areas of the coat and hat? It's called 'Sugar.' You wanted to touch it, huh? lol! The snow was created with Polar White Flower Soft. I love using flower soft for snow! The pearls are compliments of my Gold Paper Pen by Viva Decor. You know how much I LOVE this product!!! DP is Kaisercraft 'Tis the Season Collection. There are many wonderful papers in this set! Ribbon is from my stash and oh so sparkly! You should see my kitchen floor... it's even on my dog LOL!!! I created the sentiment on my computer.

For my second card, I've used Winter Emma by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD. (This is a NEVER BEFORE SEEN stamp and is not part of the NEW RELEASE mini Winter Sampler).

Emma is also colored with copics: Hair - E49 E59 E25 E53; Skin - E11 E21 E00 R20; Clothes - YR21 YR20; Headband - B95 B93 B91; Boots - E59 E57 E55 E53; Kitty - C7 C5 C3.

The beautiful blue on her ear muff, scarf and mittens is Breezy Blue Sparkly Fluff. It's so soft and touchable! For snow this time, I used Silver Flower Soft and the 'snowflakes' I created in the background is Viva Decor Glitter Liner. The teeny tiny pearls around the scalloped oval is Viva Decor Opal Paper Pen. You can make any size pearls with this product!

With love... awww... This is embossed with a Cuttlebug EF and very lightly rubbed with Faded Jeans Distress Ink. Again, the silver border is the NEW Silver Flower Soft!

Another sentiment generated from my computer and lined with Viva Decor Glitter Liner. More pearls in the corners using Viva Decor Opal Paper Pen. Lace, button, charm and flowers from my stash.

And now a word from our local sponsor hee hee...

It's Cold Outside Baby!

Brrrrrrr... the weather is changing fast!  But you know, I actually like it : )  Of course, I would rather have the sun shining and cooler weather at the same time cuz grey isn't my favorite color!  However, it is good for my 'personal summer' heat waves I get since having a hysterectomy last year.  Wow!  In just a couple of days, it will actually be 1 year.  How time flies...  God has been merciful to me though.  Since I can't take hormones (breast cancer survivors shouldn't take them) menopause symptoms haven't been that bad.  At least I haven't had some of the horror stories you hear about.  It's no big deal!  If you are one of those horror stories, I am so sorry you are going through that :(

I have the cutest Snowman to share with you today!  I just adore him :)
This is my card for Paper Romance Challenge #22.  The image is by Laurie Furnell for High Hopes and can be purchased at Paper Romance Here.

He's colored with copics:  B05 B02 B01 B00; C9 C7 C5 C1; R24 R22 R20.  The heart on the mug and portions of his scarf have been stickled lol!  For textured snow, I used a combination of 3D Glitter Gel and Polar White Flower Soft.  Cool, huh?

Here's a close up of the pleated ribbon which is the Paper Romance Challenge this week!  I'm also showing you the snowflake which has been 'iced' with Platinum Inka-Gold and then 'iced' a second time with the 3D Glitter Gel.  A beautiful crystal rhinestone in the center finishes it off!

Challenges Entered:
Digi Doodle Shop's Best - anything goes
ABC Challenge - Glitter
Simon Says - Punch 'em
A Spoon Full of Sugar - Let's Get Punchy
Papertake Weekly - Sparkly and Bright
Craft Your Passion - Glitter/Sparkles

... and *hanging my head and blushing* I have two other cards for Paper Romance which I haven't posted yet!!!

This card was for the button challenge last week...
This image is also by Laurie Furnell for High Hopes called, Angel Bear Holding Kitty.  You can find it Here.

I decided to color her dress to match the dp!  Copics I used are:  E57 E55 E53 E51 E50; W5 W3 W1; G28 G24 G21 G20; YR02 YR01 YR00.  The wings got a nice thick dusting of Glamour Dust and the bow and flowers got the stickle treatment!  Her nose received a drop of Diamond Glaze for shine and texture.

The corner pearls were made with my Cream Paper Pen.  LOVE my paper pens!!!  Paw adorned buttons in threes for the challenge (last week) and it's ready to roll!

... and last - I know (phew!)  but think of what I'm going through trying to get this done before it's time for me to get up LOL!!!

Here's my card which never got posted for the cream, orange and black Paper Romance Challenge!!!

This is called Laurie's Pumpkin Patch by... you guessed it - Laurie Furnell for High Hopes!!!

Yep... I did some sewing on this one!  Colored with copics and accented with Stardust Stickles and Diamond Glaze.

Sorry for the shortness of this one... it's waaaaaay past my bedtime.  If I don't go to bed, I won't get up in time to workout and I'll be hearing it from my workout buddy who will be all alone......... yikes!!!

Thanks for hanging in there with me : )

I'll see you soon, my beautiful friends!  I love you ♥

May God bless you, keep you and comfort your soul ~
