It's Time to Relax!

Happy Happy Monday, my friends!!!  It's time for another new week filled with adventure and excitement!  There is so much to learn and do... there is simply not enough hours in the day to do them all!  I bet you are not much different than me.  You either search for, or come across a tutorial that catches your eye.  You are 'wowed' by it and want to try it 'someday.'  I don't know how many 'somedays' have come and gone lol!!!  All in good time : )

Today's post is for Karen's Doodles US Challenge.  I've used the digi, 'Time to Relax.'  I could use some relaxing in the shade and some yummy lemonade!

I gave this card to my honey for Father's Day.  He liked it - yay!!!  I actually made a FUN mistake as I was opening this image on my computer...  Apparently, I had the blue gingham digi paper from Bearly Mine Designs open already, so the image opened on top of it.  You should have seen my face as that 'a ha' moment came to me!  How cool is that?  I didn't even have to cut around the image or anything.  It was ready to color with the background already there!  I LOVE it : )  If you are interested in knowing which copics I used for this card, please email me... I'm posting late and blogger is not cooperating - grrrr!!!!

I used my cuttlebug, embossing folder and oval nestie for the frame.  I think it's called tiny mosaics (???).  I wanted more texture and thought that this went well with the 'checks.'

I love this Scripture ♥  It is soooooo comforting : )

Here's the sketch I followed which is this week's challenge at Karen's Doodles US Challenge.

You may use any image from Karen's Doodles and you have 3 chances to win!
