New Sylvia Zet and Victoria Case Stamps are Here!

*A long post... with CANDY link below : D
(Creative Card Crew... scroll down for challenge card)

Good Morning and Happy Friday!!!  I really am happy today for several reasons... of course, one is that it's Blog Hop Day... but the other reason is that my DH is better!  The other day, one of my lovely followers commented that her DH was also sick.  She called it the man flu (rofl!).  I've used that ever since (thanks for the laugh!!!).

So... you may have stumbled here 'just because.'  If that's the case, you may wish to start at the beginning of the Hop which is Danni's Blog *Here.*  She has the most ADORABLE image to show off!  If you've already been hopping, you should have come here from Elaine's Blog where you've seen more fabulousness!!!

Before I show you two more must haves... I'd like to congratulate all the blog candy winners which were posted on the Store Blog.  Yay!!!  You'll want to check out the Store Blog daily for new products, information and inspiration.  There's always FUN going on there!

And now... I'd like to introduce you to Loli's Dance by Sylvia Zet for SCACD from the New Adventures of Loli and Poppy.

Such a lovely lady : )  Her friend is happily dancing with joy!  Don't they make you smile?  I've used copic markers for coloring, with Stardust Stickles and Transparent Gloss Gel by Viva Decor for accents.  Can you see her shiny eyes and shoes?

Another thing I'd like to point out is the lower left corner embellishment.  It was gold, but I painted it with Mother of Pearl Viva Decor Precious Metal Paint.  I love the coverage this paint provides!

Below you can see large pearls on the beautiful lace.  These are self-stick which you can find *Here.*  The smaller three at the bottom are Opal Paper Pen by Viva Decor *Here.*

After stamping with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and coloring with copics, I used the largest circle in the Spellbinders Classic Large Circle set to die cut the image.  Even the largest circle wasn't big enough to fit in the whole image, so I decided to leave some 'over the edge.'

The two small hearts were die cut with the smallest size heart in the Classic Scalloped Hearts.  The 'xoxo' heart stamp is from a clear stamp set by Hero Arts.  All pieces are distressed using Faded Jeans Distress Ink by Tim Holtz.

This view shows both Aqua Smooch and Smooch Illuminate which I used to color over the flowers and angel's wings on this cut out (which comes with the Sweet Nothings DP by Kaisercraft).  I am in LOVE with this paper pad!!! Note:  I don't see it in the store right now : (

All three hearts have been popped up with dimensionals *Here.*

My second card features

Isn't she a beauty?  She's also colored with Copics and accented with Transparent Gloss Gel on her eyes and ladybugs.  After coloring her wings, I used a bit of Gold Glitz Glamour Dust Paint on top.  More Gold Glitz on the butterflies and centers of the black flowers (for even more dimension on the flower centers, I also used Gold Stickles).  For the centers of the butterflies, I used my Graphite Paper Pen.

The fun dp is Little Black dress by BasicGrey *Here.*  The dp directly behind the image is a combination I made using photoshop.  So the ladybugs would stand out more, I topped them with Transparent Gloss Gel.  I wanted just a 'touch' of ladybugs in the dp to peek out : D

I die cut the image using the largest circle in the Classic Large Circles.  This time, I left only her foot to go over the edge.  The pearls around the scalloped circle are from my Cream Paper Pen.  I can't tell you how much money I've saved using my paper pens...  I'm tellin' ya, it's the best thing since sliced bread lol!

More beautiful lace from my stash with Stardust Stickles accents and even a gorgeous stick pin *Here.*

*** International Friends can purchase these stamps at Quixotic Paperie ***

Fun in the Sun

Today is the first day of Spring! Really? I was just singing *It's raining it's pouring... the old man is snoring...* My oh my - you DO have a wonderful voice hee hee! Well, today I can repeat my song! Apparently, the weather forecast is rain ALL week (sigh). A little rain is good. A lot of rain is good while I am cozy in my bed...but ALL week long? Part of the trouble is that for the past 3 days, the electricity has been on and off - off and on! Grrrrrr.... it makes it very hard to stay in the lines while I'm coloring LOL

So...to celebrate, I'm having a Fun in the Sun party! Wanna join me? Just leave me a comment telling me what you enjoy doing in the summertime! There just may be a SURPRISE hidden for you :)

Today I have a wonderful sunshine-filled card to show ya! This is an exclusive stamp in the Sweet Meets Sassy Collection by Victoria Case for SCACD called Just Chillin'. Can you feel the warmth of the sun yet?

I've colored this beach babe with copics: E35 E34 YR21 YR20; E11 E21 E00 R20; B18 B16 B14 B12. For her dramatic eyes, I've used Lavender atyou Spica pen, Plum Berry Smooch and a touch of Stardust Stickles! Also, I've added a drop of Diamond Glaze on each lense of her sunglasses, her eyes and luscious glass of lemonade - well... what did you think she was drinking? lol

She's all cozy, snuggled up in the warmth of the sand. Ahhhhhh... I remember that feeling! To create the warm sand, I've used Toffee Ultrafine Flowersoft. To create the soft sky background, I simply used BG000 in soft circles (I didn't even blend it *gasp!*) You can see the sky better in the close up above.

The umbrella is a print n cut image from Nitwit. I used a sticky strip for dimension and gave it two generous coats of Ice Crystal Glamour Dust Ultra Fine Glitter Paint. I LOVE this stuff! I also painted the blue swirls to give it some shimmer too. I also LOVE these rhinestone swirls! It's part of a larger swirl. The sets of 3 rhinestones came from the same swirl. Multi-purpose... YAY!

Oooops... I almost forgot to tell you that this FABULOUS sketch came from the uber-talented Chelsea. I am ashamedly late posting this card for the CLP Sketch Challenge, but the good news is that you still have time to join in the fun for March!

I'm entering this card in the following challenge:
Bling It On - Anything Goes (option of charm)

If you haven't entered to win my mega CANDY, you can find it Here. Ends this Friday, March 25 at 11:59 PST.

***Now... don't forget to leave me a comment on this post only (as noted at the top). I will choose one person who will win some fabulous rhinestone swirls!! Ends Sunday, April 27.

I hope you've enjoyed my project and will come back often :) I appreciate all the lovely comments you leave. It makes my heart smile!!!

May God bless you, keep you and comfort your soul ~

Fall Blessings

I don't know about you, but I'm just done with hot weather!  I am so tired of always mopping my face with a towel ha ha!  You know what I mean though... the kind of being hot all the time and when you try to stand up, you stick to your chair LOL!  The sad thing is that they say that this has been the coolest summer we've had in a very long time - blech...  I think that God did it for me though - He knew that I'd be having my own heat wave regardless of the temperature outside.  Thank you, LORD!

This is a very different kind of card from me today.  I've been experimenting with different products lately and decided to try the Viva Decor 3D Glitter Gel.  This is some cool stuff!  It's very easy (but messy) to work with.  Believe me, you won't mind the mess cuz it's so much FUN!  I've used the Leaf Background stencil from Dreamweaver and Bronze 3D Glitter Gel from Viva to create the glittery background panel.  When it dried, I spritzed Smooch over the entire piece and wiped away the excess on the stenciled areas.

This is my Try It Out *T* card.  We were asked to use a Dreamweaver or Crafters Workshop stencil on our project along with Dreamweaver micas, paste, clay or Viva Decor Products.  This one really challenged me...  I broke out from my color palette comfort zone (again) and went with a Fall theme.

Leaves and sentiment stamps are from a new set I picked up from Susana at SCACD - Our Craft Lounge, Shades of Fall.  I was very surprised to see the quality of this clear stamp set.  It comes on a very sturdy mounting piece which is three hole punched to keep in a binder.  It also shows (in color!) the stamps in the set, so you don't have to figure out what the stamps look like!  That's so important with clear stamps.  Very very nice!!!  Susana has other sets from Our Craft Lounge Here.  Take a peek... you won't be disappointed!

The stencil works really well.  Here's a close up.  You can see that the 3D Glitter Gel only went where it was supposed to : )  It is raised and very textured!  There are lots of Dreamweaver stencils to choose from Here.  They are sturdy and excellent quality!  I have one with a teapot and teacup that I'm itching to use soon!  Susana has a number of videos for you to watch to get you started.  Go take a peek : )

If you like this color scheme, you'll want to check back here tomorrow.  I have one more up my sleeve using the scrolls I showed you how to create on Monday!  Don't forget to enter My Candy... ends August 31!!!

Have a fabulous day!

May God bless you, keep you and comfort your soul ~
