Tea Party and a cool new Embossing Folder!

I love all things to do with tea parties!  I think I'm making up for when I was a little girl.  All I wanted to do was be a boy lol!  I wanted to play with 'boy toys' having nothing to do with dolls or dresses.  Well, you'll still find me in pants most of the time, but instead of my favorite color being blue, I adore pink!  I also love tea cups, teapots and pretty, frilly things : )

Sylvia Zet's newest release, New Adventures of Loli and Poppy is wonderful with oh so adorable images!!!  This is one of my faves in this collection : )  Here's
Daphne's Tea Party.

Of course I had to use pink!!!  She's colored with copics, which is no surprise...  Here's what I used:  Hair - E35 E34 YR21 YR20; Skin - E11 E00 E000; Clothes/Furniture - R39 R85 R83 R81/E57 E55 E43 E50 C4 ; Teapot n Cups - R83 R81 R11 R000; Kitty - C9 C5 C4 C3 C2 C1.

A few Opal Paper Pen pearls in the corners which tie in the pearl heart brad on the tag : )  I've had this gorgeous flower for quite some time and I decided that I could part with it (I still have two left in the package which you'll have to pry out of my hands lol!).  They are both lacey and of course pink!!!

Here you can see the dimension.  I used dimensionals to pop up the image layer.  I dug out my QuicKutz dies and squeeze punch to create the tag.  The sentiment is from My Time Made Easy.

OK... here's the cool new embossing folder part - really!!!  It's Brocade by Craft Concepts.  I started with a 2 inch strip of white cardstock.  This embossing folder has an opening in the 'fold' which is 2" wide and fits a strip of cs in.  I was able to make a continuous embossed strip of 11.5" which I trimmed to fit.  After embossing, I used an MS punch on both sides to make it more girlie : )  I'll try to get photos to show you in detail soon - just in case my description doesn't help hee hee!

A final shot which shows a little of the shiny dp which is Sweet Nothings (look at the top) and all the shiny and sparkly areas - love that shine and bling!

Thanks for stopping by!!!  I hope to visit with you soon ♥

May God bless you, keep you and comfort your soul~

New Sylvia Zet and Victoria Case Stamps are Here!

*A long post... with CANDY link below : D
(Creative Card Crew... scroll down for challenge card)

Good Morning and Happy Friday!!!  I really am happy today for several reasons... of course, one is that it's Blog Hop Day... but the other reason is that my DH is better!  The other day, one of my lovely followers commented that her DH was also sick.  She called it the man flu (rofl!).  I've used that ever since (thanks for the laugh!!!).

So... you may have stumbled here 'just because.'  If that's the case, you may wish to start at the beginning of the Hop which is Danni's Blog *Here.*  She has the most ADORABLE image to show off!  If you've already been hopping, you should have come here from Elaine's Blog where you've seen more fabulousness!!!

Before I show you two more must haves... I'd like to congratulate all the blog candy winners which were posted on the Store Blog.  Yay!!!  You'll want to check out the Store Blog daily for new products, information and inspiration.  There's always FUN going on there!

And now... I'd like to introduce you to Loli's Dance by Sylvia Zet for SCACD from the New Adventures of Loli and Poppy.

Such a lovely lady : )  Her friend is happily dancing with joy!  Don't they make you smile?  I've used copic markers for coloring, with Stardust Stickles and Transparent Gloss Gel by Viva Decor for accents.  Can you see her shiny eyes and shoes?

Another thing I'd like to point out is the lower left corner embellishment.  It was gold, but I painted it with Mother of Pearl Viva Decor Precious Metal Paint.  I love the coverage this paint provides!

Below you can see large pearls on the beautiful lace.  These are self-stick which you can find *Here.*  The smaller three at the bottom are Opal Paper Pen by Viva Decor *Here.*

After stamping with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and coloring with copics, I used the largest circle in the Spellbinders Classic Large Circle set to die cut the image.  Even the largest circle wasn't big enough to fit in the whole image, so I decided to leave some 'over the edge.'

The two small hearts were die cut with the smallest size heart in the Classic Scalloped Hearts.  The 'xoxo' heart stamp is from a clear stamp set by Hero Arts.  All pieces are distressed using Faded Jeans Distress Ink by Tim Holtz.

This view shows both Aqua Smooch and Smooch Illuminate which I used to color over the flowers and angel's wings on this cut out (which comes with the Sweet Nothings DP by Kaisercraft).  I am in LOVE with this paper pad!!! Note:  I don't see it in the store right now : (

All three hearts have been popped up with dimensionals *Here.*

My second card features

Isn't she a beauty?  She's also colored with Copics and accented with Transparent Gloss Gel on her eyes and ladybugs.  After coloring her wings, I used a bit of Gold Glitz Glamour Dust Paint on top.  More Gold Glitz on the butterflies and centers of the black flowers (for even more dimension on the flower centers, I also used Gold Stickles).  For the centers of the butterflies, I used my Graphite Paper Pen.

The fun dp is Little Black dress by BasicGrey *Here.*  The dp directly behind the image is a combination I made using photoshop.  So the ladybugs would stand out more, I topped them with Transparent Gloss Gel.  I wanted just a 'touch' of ladybugs in the dp to peek out : D

I die cut the image using the largest circle in the Classic Large Circles.  This time, I left only her foot to go over the edge.  The pearls around the scalloped circle are from my Cream Paper Pen.  I can't tell you how much money I've saved using my paper pens...  I'm tellin' ya, it's the best thing since sliced bread lol!

More beautiful lace from my stash with Stardust Stickles accents and even a gorgeous stick pin *Here.*

*** International Friends can purchase these stamps at Quixotic Paperie ***

A Present for You!

Welcome back friends!  Before I whine a bit, I want to let you in on a secret...  There is candy hiding in today's post : )  Well, today is Wednesday, but it sure feels like a Monday!!!  Can I cry on your shoulder for just a little while?!?  I'm not even sure why LOL.  Some days are just like that, you know?  I've been working very hard on A LOT of things...  One of which is eating healthier and exercising more.  A very good thing which I am happy about is that so far I've lost 15 pounds - yay me!!!  Blood work done in a couple of months will reveal how things are looking on the inside.  If you are over the age of 40, you know the aches and pains life brings...everything seems more difficult when your body hurts and you get tired faster ... Oh thank God for crafting!  What would we do without it?

I have a confession to make.  Painting is done and floors were installed in my new craft room last week, BUT I haven't done anything to finish the detail work so I can begin to fill it up!  What in the world is wrong with me?  I've been moaning and groaning about having my craft supplies all over the house, and now that there is a perfectly good room (almost) ready, I am dragging my feet.  Want to know a secret?  I'm not sure what to do with it!!!  The desk I'm currently using is HUGE.  I mean BIG and HEAVY HUGE!!!  There is no way that I can get it into my craft room.  What do I use for desk space?  On a very limited budget, I need to come up with something... Any ideas?  I'd LOVE to know...  What do you use?  I'd also like to put my computer in there.  The room is about 12'x12' which is a pretty good size.  Help!?!?!

*End of whining..*  : )

OK...my title today is a tiny bit misleading, but it really does lead into a present for someone!  First, in 2 more days, I will reveal the WINNER of my Surprise Candy : )  If you missed it, you can find all the information *Here.*  I've enjoyed reading all of your comments about what you like to give/receive as Blog Candy.  You've given me some great ideas... and just maybe YOUR idea will be offered as candy!  Btw, I agree with each and every one of you hee hee.

So... for today, I am offering this lovely lady, Precious Present by Sylvia Zet for SCACD as a present!  If you'd like to have a chance at giving this beauty a home, just leave me a comment on THIS post by next Wednesday, October 5.  I'll announce the winner shortly after...

Sorry, I'm not at home (where I have the list) to let you know which copics I've used to color her... and boy is she FUN to color!!! DP is Webster Pages *Here.*  The metal embellishment in the corner was made by yours truly.  It's the last one I had, so I have to make more!  I began by making a mold of 4 stacked metal corners (because they are so thin).  I filled the mold with Crystal Gel (which happened to be Blue/Green) and let dry overnight.  After removing from the mold and trimming, I applied a generous coat of Silver Precious Metal Paint (LOVE this paint!!!).  Voila'!  It is very lightweight and easy to adhere to your card or project.  The best part about having molds is that I can make as many as I need and use any color to match my card.  Tutorial using Molds and Crystal Gel/Modeling Creme *Here.*

Isn't she a doll?
I've glittered her wings with Ice Crystal Glamour Dust Ultra Fine Glitter Paint.
So easy to use... just paint on!  No glue or messy glitter to get everywhere : )

Of course, I needed to sneak in some pearls using my Rose Paper Pen (THIS is my absolute fave paper pen of all time!!!)  Susana carries lots of different colors *Here.*

I've been asked to show my paper pens, but again, I'm not at home, so until I can get some up close and personal photos of what the paper pens look like and the different pearls they make, take a look at this Tutorial on Making Your Own Scrolls *Here.*  The paper pens are the same size (BIG!).

I hope that the good outweighed my little whining session today lol.  It's not fun to continually hear someone complaining is it?  I do try to allow Jesus to shine through in whatever I'm doing, but...since I'm human...EEK!!!  Not perfect, just saved : )  Praise be to God!!!

Thank you so much for joining in the fun today.  Don't forget to leave a comment if you'd like to be in the draw for Precious Present!  You can find the rest of this Oh-So-Adorable Release by Sylvia Zet for SCACD *Here.*

May God bless you, keep you and comfort your soul~

To celebrate, we've got a hop for you today, filled with inspiration from the SCACD and Quixotic Paperie design teams PLUS some fabulous, special guests!  We hope you will hop along with us as we introduce you to the Adventures of Loli &Shellie, Poppy and the rest of their friends!

You should have hopped here from Anki.  If you're just joining us and would like to start the hop at the beginning,  then pop back to the start over at ELAINE HUGHES' BLOG.  A complete hop list can be found over on the SCACD Store Blog.

And now... I'd like to introduce you to the lovely Princess by Sylvia Zet for SCACD from The Adventures of Loli and Her Friends.  Isn't that a darling name for this new Release?
Princess is colored with copics E11 E00 R20; E35 E34 YR21 YR20; R85 R83 R81; C9 C7 C5 C3 C2 C0; YG03Her sparkly top is 'colored' with Stardust Stickles and the brooch or clip on her cape and the stirrup on the horse is painted with Silver Precious Metal Paint (THE best one coat coverage paint ever!!!) with Silver Bling Glamour Dust Paint for extra pizazz!  The more Glamour Dust Paint you add, the greater the Bling : )

I've used the largest circle from the Classic Large Circle Nestabilities to die cut the image.  She is layered on three scallops cut out from Nitwit Collection, Fairytale Dreams.  I didn't intend at first to have three layers... the first two were too big so I kept making it 1/4" smaller LOL.  To thread the ribbon, I used a 1/8" hole punch, and cut the end of 1/8" ribbon at an angle so it would go through the holes easier...

The middle and top scalloped layers are popped up with double sided foam 'dots.''

A Princess can't be a Princess without a crown!  This one's made from a charm I found.  It isn't the actual charm, it's from a mold I created using Mold n Pour!!!  The only thing different is that I cut off the loop at the top cuz I didn't need to hang it : )  After molding the original charm, I used Modeling Creme to create this look alike.  The Modeling Creme I used was Pearl Rose, so I painted it with Silver Precious Metal Paint (the most awesome, one coat coverage paint I've used!!!) and added Silver Bling Glamour Dust Paint on top.  And last, but not least, it needed at least one jewel, so I added a Swarovski Flat Back Crystal.

Sorry, Tim Holtz... although I did purchase your metal corners, I decided that I needed more, so I molded one, and again used Modeling Creme/Silver Precious Metal Paint to make my own!  The Modeling Creme is flexible and this corner embellishment is wrapped around the back of the card panel.  For photos and detailed information on making embellishments, please see my tutorial HERE.

I'm so glad you've joined us on our hop today : )  Your final stop is SCACD Store BlogI encourage you to leave Susana a little love toooooo ♥  She works so hard to bring us the BEST products and you know that her service is rated Five Stars!!!
