New Sylvia Zet and Victoria Case Stamps are Here!

*A long post... with CANDY link below : D
(Creative Card Crew... scroll down for challenge card)

Good Morning and Happy Friday!!!  I really am happy today for several reasons... of course, one is that it's Blog Hop Day... but the other reason is that my DH is better!  The other day, one of my lovely followers commented that her DH was also sick.  She called it the man flu (rofl!).  I've used that ever since (thanks for the laugh!!!).

So... you may have stumbled here 'just because.'  If that's the case, you may wish to start at the beginning of the Hop which is Danni's Blog *Here.*  She has the most ADORABLE image to show off!  If you've already been hopping, you should have come here from Elaine's Blog where you've seen more fabulousness!!!

Before I show you two more must haves... I'd like to congratulate all the blog candy winners which were posted on the Store Blog.  Yay!!!  You'll want to check out the Store Blog daily for new products, information and inspiration.  There's always FUN going on there!

And now... I'd like to introduce you to Loli's Dance by Sylvia Zet for SCACD from the New Adventures of Loli and Poppy.

Such a lovely lady : )  Her friend is happily dancing with joy!  Don't they make you smile?  I've used copic markers for coloring, with Stardust Stickles and Transparent Gloss Gel by Viva Decor for accents.  Can you see her shiny eyes and shoes?

Another thing I'd like to point out is the lower left corner embellishment.  It was gold, but I painted it with Mother of Pearl Viva Decor Precious Metal Paint.  I love the coverage this paint provides!

Below you can see large pearls on the beautiful lace.  These are self-stick which you can find *Here.*  The smaller three at the bottom are Opal Paper Pen by Viva Decor *Here.*

After stamping with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and coloring with copics, I used the largest circle in the Spellbinders Classic Large Circle set to die cut the image.  Even the largest circle wasn't big enough to fit in the whole image, so I decided to leave some 'over the edge.'

The two small hearts were die cut with the smallest size heart in the Classic Scalloped Hearts.  The 'xoxo' heart stamp is from a clear stamp set by Hero Arts.  All pieces are distressed using Faded Jeans Distress Ink by Tim Holtz.

This view shows both Aqua Smooch and Smooch Illuminate which I used to color over the flowers and angel's wings on this cut out (which comes with the Sweet Nothings DP by Kaisercraft).  I am in LOVE with this paper pad!!! Note:  I don't see it in the store right now : (

All three hearts have been popped up with dimensionals *Here.*

My second card features

Isn't she a beauty?  She's also colored with Copics and accented with Transparent Gloss Gel on her eyes and ladybugs.  After coloring her wings, I used a bit of Gold Glitz Glamour Dust Paint on top.  More Gold Glitz on the butterflies and centers of the black flowers (for even more dimension on the flower centers, I also used Gold Stickles).  For the centers of the butterflies, I used my Graphite Paper Pen.

The fun dp is Little Black dress by BasicGrey *Here.*  The dp directly behind the image is a combination I made using photoshop.  So the ladybugs would stand out more, I topped them with Transparent Gloss Gel.  I wanted just a 'touch' of ladybugs in the dp to peek out : D

I die cut the image using the largest circle in the Classic Large Circles.  This time, I left only her foot to go over the edge.  The pearls around the scalloped circle are from my Cream Paper Pen.  I can't tell you how much money I've saved using my paper pens...  I'm tellin' ya, it's the best thing since sliced bread lol!

More beautiful lace from my stash with Stardust Stickles accents and even a gorgeous stick pin *Here.*

*** International Friends can purchase these stamps at Quixotic Paperie ***

Before I send you off, I promised a link for  BLOG CANDY.  I would love for you to enter my Cricut Cartridge Giveaway *Here.*

SCACD Reopens Today/Gift Set!!!

My oh my... has it really been a month since my last post?  It does feel like a lifetime ago!  First thing on my agenda is to wish you...

***Happy New Year!!!***

I hope that you've enjoyed lots of relaxation time and tons of fun with your family and friends!  Me?  Well... I spent the last three weeks laying low and reading a bunch - trying to get over a nasty virus.  It was a doosie!  I sure hope that you've been able to steer clear of it.

One good thing about 'having to lie around and do nothing' is that I became acquainted with my Kindle, which I received a few months ago for my birthday.  I didn't realize what I've been missing!  I LOVE it :D  I love that it's easy on the eyes; that it's light and easy to hold; that 'turning' pages is a breeze... If you love reading, you just might want to put a Kindle on your Wish List!  Right now, I'm reading Halfway to Forever by Karen Kingsbury (Book 3 in the Forever Faithful trilogy).  Have you read any good books lately?  What authors do you enjoy?

To celebrate Susana's REOPENING the store today, I've created a quick and simple gift set.  I'm not sure where I got the box template, but it is a print, cut and assemble project!  I've embellished it with  Diamond Stickles  and Opal Viva Decor Paper Pen.  Now to decide what to put inside for a special someone :D

For the 'matching' card, I decided to use one of the fabulous stamps by Carmen Medlin for SCACD.  Her Caged Heart is from the Reflections Fantasy Collection.

The image is stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and colored with copics.  Her dress was given a few coats of Crystal Glamour Dust Paint.  Can you see the sparkle???

Although I've used another die for the bird cage, Susana has an awesome Memory Box die *Here*  If you look closely, you'll see that I've embossed the die cut using Leaves embossing folder by Crafts-Too.  I adore this embossing folder!!!  Did ya notice the pearls on the bird cage and scattered around the card?  I made 'em with my Opal Paper Pen :D  Speaking of paper pens, the Graphite Paper Pen came in handy for the bird's eye...  I don't know what I'd do without my paper pens!!!

And now... Just thought you might like to know that...
Awesome New Products
are Now Available!!!

I hope that you've enjoyed your visit with me today!  I know that I've missed YOU!!!  Here's to a wonderful 2012 filled with love and friendships ♥  See you soon!

May God bless you, keep you and comfort your soul~

Candy Time and a Treat Box!

***CANDY IS NOW CLOSED***

Howdy!  This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it! (FYI:  CANDY might be hiding in my post today...)

After church today, hubby and I are going to the movies with friends to see Money Ball.  Have you seen it?  What did you think?  The last movie we saw with our friends was The King's Speech which hubby chose.  We all thought it was great!  Hubby chose this time too, so we have high expectations lol!  What movies have you seen lately that you really liked?

When I go to the movies I have to eat popcorn... I like to drink a Coke Icee and once in a while I'll also have candy!  Do you find yourself ordering routine 'comfort foods' when you go to the movies?

Warning:  Today's project includes the CANDY!!!  If you are like me with a sweet tooth, you may want to arm yourself at this point...  On the other hand, if it's not CHOCOLATE, I can usually pass it up lol.

I decided that I needed to color up this sweet image by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD, Pumpkin Patch Peeker.  Can you hear her saying, 'Peek-a-Boo!'?

As usual, I've colored her with copics:  YR16 YR14 YR12; G28 G24 G21 G40; E35 E34 YR21 YR20; E11 E00 R20; E55 E53 E51 E50.  The pumpkin was just screamin' for some Glamour Dust Paint - Ice Crystal, of course!  I think I used 3 coats...

I wanted to do something different with this image, so while I was browsing patterns, I found this cute li'l pumpkin box which fit perfectly!

The inside of the box will hold a very generous handful (and I have big hands!) of Tootsie Roll candies.

The image was die cut and embossed with my oval and scalloped oval nesties.  The GORGEOUS swirls (which I will use A LOT!) were made with Elegant Scrollwork die by Memory Box.  A few rhinestones carefully placed enhances the elegant swirls and finishes off my yummy project!

Candy Winner and Holiday Peekers!

Hip Hip Hooray!  It's Friday!!!  Can you tell that I'm not as cranky as I was when I wrote my last post?  Things haven't changed much, except for my ATTITUDE...  Sometimes I just need a kick in the butt to get me straightened out again! LOL

Not only is it Friday, but I also get to announce the NEW RELEASE by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD!  The darling Holiday Peekers are now available!!!  There are four of these cuties as well as three mini stamps created by our very own, oh-so-talented, Carolyn!!!  Thanks bunches, Sweetie.  You did an awesome job!  : )

You can find all the links to the Designers showcasing the NEW Holiday Peekers on the Store Blog.  Be sure to check it out!  For UK/Europe friends, Quixotic Paperie also carries these fabulous exclusive stamps!

Now... may I introduce you to Reason for the Season by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD...

Can you hear the angels singing?
Silent night, Holy night. All is calm, all is bright...  Such beautiful music : )

Copics used:  R27 R24 R22 R20; G28 G24 G21 G40; Hair - E49 E59 E25 E53; Skin - E11 E00 R20; E57 E55 E53 E51 E50; YR24 Y15 Y13; BG13 BG11 BG10.

The ornaments, sheep, Baby Jesus' blankie and the centers of the snowflakes on her top all received a nice glob of Stardust Stickles.

I chose this DP because it has snowflakes!
It's from the 6x6 Holly Jolly Christmas paper pad by Echo Park *Here*

I've included two homemade buttons  - the large white button threaded with Gold floss and the small gold button on the center of the snowflake.  The small button used to be Blue/Green Crystal Gel, but I painted it gold and then gave it a thick coat of Gold Glitz Glamour Dust Ultra Fine Glitter Paint.  I won't go through the steps on how I made them, but you can see the tutorial on making molds and embellishments using Crystal Gel / Modeling Creme *HERE*  I LOVE making my own embellishments : )

I also got to use my NEW Spellbinders dies : )
The Classic Large Circle is layered over the Picot Edge Circle

I've used only 1 of the 5 dies you get with the Create a Flake Three Shapeabilities set which I edged in NEW 'Diamond Range' Gold Ultra Fine Flower Soft.  The beautiful white flower also received a Gold Ultra Fine Flower Soft bath lol.  I thought it helped to tie it all in...

Make Your Own Flowers!

It's Saturday!  Yay!!!  Whatcha doing this weekend?  My plans are to get a few areas organized in my house.  This is gonna be a long term project, so I'm not gonna go crazy trying to get it all done!  If I've learned only ONE thing in my life, it's that I can't do it all.  No 'superwoman' - never was...never will be lol!  I am enjoying learning how to have balance in every area.  Note that I said learning... yep, it seems that everything is a process!  So I plan to do a little bit of cleaning/organizing, a little bit of crafting (duh!), a little bit of blogging, a little bit of shopping and cooking and a little bit of relaxing!  Then comes Sunday :D  That's another story for another time.

Have you seen Di's Digi Designs Challenge Blog?  The first challenge was on September 10 with the theme 'Anything Goes.'  New challenges are posted every two weeks, so TODAY we have a new theme, 'Make Your Own Flowers!'  Here's what I came up with...

This is the ADORABLE digi Sweet Scent.  I fell in LOVE with her when I saw her!  Here's the copics I've used:  R85 R83 R81; YG63 YG03 YG01; G28 G24 G21 G20; C9 C7 C5 C3 C0; YR24 Y15 Y13 Y11.

The image is die cut using the second largest circle in the Classic Large Circles nesties set which is layered on black cs using the largest size die in the Tear Drop Circle set.  I love the lacy look it gives!

I just wanted to show you a different angle so you could see the bling better which was achieved by painting on a couple of coats of Ice Crystal Glamour Dust Ultra Fine Glitter Paint.  I am really loving this product because I changed printers - and you know what sometimes happens... the ink started bleeding (oh noooo!).  I had to be super careful as I colored.  From past experience, I know that stickles REALLY makes the ink run.  Your beautifully colored image turns into black MUD!  But.... yay...there is NO - NONE - bleeding with the Glamour Dust Paint and it gives a TON of sparkle (just not the dimension).

Here's my 'make your own flower' flower!  I don't think it turned out that bad, BUT there are definite things I would do differently.  First, I wish that I would have used different paper and maybe used the Ice Crystal Glamour Dust Glitter Paint instead of the Silver Bling.  Well, it was a good learning experience.  I wasn't sure that I would be able to do this, so... yay me lol!

Did ya notice that awesome scroll I tucked in behind the flower?  I'll say it again... I LOVE LOVE LOVE this scroll!  It's a Memory Box Die called Elegant Scrollwork.  Susana just might have one or two left, but it's hard to keep this beauty in stock!  Also the yummy pink (and black) pearls I made using my Viva Decor Paper Pens - Graphite *Here* - Rose *Here*

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I hope that you will join us for this two week challenge in Making Your Own Flowers at Di's Digi Designs Challenge.

May God bless you, keep you and comfort your soul~

Purrrfect Friends

Oooops.... here I go again!  Why can't there be enough time and ENERGY in the day to do everything?  I don't know about you, but it seems I continue to just hold my head above water!!!  People and things (yard work, housework, etc...) fight for my time and it seems that no one wins lol!  I get a little of this done and a little of that done, but I want to be ahead of the game with balance and fun in EVERY day.  Whine Whine Whine... got any cheese to go with that? hee hee

So I don't spend forever on this post - and not get anything ELSE done, I'm gonna cut to the chase..
I'm a day late *hanging my head* in posting my card for Fairy Fun Fridays.  BUT I've used this super adorable image, Purrrfect Friends by Prairie Fairy Designs with a fun sketch by the fabulously talented Tracey - yay!!!  Please join us this week for Challenge #59 with Tracey's FUN sketch!!!

Here's the cutie pie!!!  I REALLY REALLYlove her ♥

Products Used:
Copics: BG07 BG05 BG02 BG01 BG000 BG0000; Y26 Y15 Y13 Y11;
E18 E15 E13; G28 G24 G20; C2 C0; E11 E21 E00 R20
Folk Art Acrylic Paint
Stampin' Up! Sentiment

Did ya notice that molded flower???  I used it on the 'purse' card I posted awhile back.  If you are interested in learning how to make it, check out the little tutorial I created Here.

Thanks for visiting today sweeties!  Gotta run : D

May God bless you, keep you and comfort your soul~

Yo Ho Ho and a Bottle of Rum...

Land Ho!  Are you ready for an adventure?  It's time to set sail once again and travel to uncharted territory!  Curious yet?  Find out more below...

Today, I have the privilege of showcasing two of the Make It Crafty stamps!  You'll also want to check out a few of my DT sister's blogs because they also are showcasing some of the Make It Crafty stamps which are NOW AVAILABLE at SCACD!!!  You'll find the links to their awesome creations at the store blog.

I LOVE these papers... 6x6 Be Mine by Echo Park (except for the map which I had in my stash).  The cool pirate ship is from The Cutting Cafe : )

Challenges Entered:
Crafts for Eternity - "R" (round, aRRgh)
Creative Friday - Black White Pink
Pile It On - Metal (faux metal)
Southern Girls - Anything Goes
Simon Says - Bingo (Buttons, Pearls, Shape)
Top Tip Tuesday - Open Challenge
Simon Says Stamp and Show - (faux metal)
Paper Variety - Mixed Alphas (Arrgh/background text)
Totally Stampalicious - Something Old (alpha mold) Something New (stamps)
Bearly Mine - Anything Goes

Colored with copics and accented with the following products: Viva Decor Glitter Liner for the blade; Celebration Pink Ultra Fine Glamour Dust Paint on pearls/jewelry; Gold Glitz Ultra Fine Glamour Dust Paint on coins.  (If I get time later, I'll edit with the copic colors I used).

One of the embellies I made with Crystal Gel.  I used Blue Green and painted the blade with Precious Metals Paint in silver.  The handle is a wee bit distressed with Gold Perfect Pearls.

More homemade embellies!!!  I have an alphabet mold and filled it with Crystal Gel (blue green).  When it dried, I had to yank it out (honestly, it did NOT come out with ease).  Silicone molds are definitely the way to go!!!  I used Perfect Medium and Gold Perfect Pearls to cover the blue/green color.  I was amazed at how well it took on the color!

The 'coins' are tiny buttons I found which I also made a mold of.  To make the mold, I found Amazing Mold Putty.  This stuff is incredibly easy to work with.  If Susana doesn't carry a particular mold and you happen to have what you're looking for at home, why not try making your own mold?  Crystal Gel works perfectly with the Amazing Mold Putty!  It is very light weight, so you're not adding so much weight and bulk to your cards.  Again, I covered the blue/green Crystal Gel with Perfect Medium and Gold Perfect Pearls.  Voila'... cute lil' coins!

Dimension, but not the weight : )  I am sooooo in LOVE with molds and Crystal Gel!!!  I'm having so much fun, I only have 1/2 the jar left (and it's a HUGE jar!).  You'll be seeing lots of embellies with Crystal Gel coming up... hee hee

Don't forget to check out the store blog and see what crafty goodness my DT sisters have come up with!

As always...

May God bless you, keep you and comfort your soul~

Fun in the Sun

Today is the first day of Spring! Really? I was just singing *It's raining it's pouring... the old man is snoring...* My oh my - you DO have a wonderful voice hee hee! Well, today I can repeat my song! Apparently, the weather forecast is rain ALL week (sigh). A little rain is good. A lot of rain is good while I am cozy in my bed...but ALL week long? Part of the trouble is that for the past 3 days, the electricity has been on and off - off and on! Grrrrrr.... it makes it very hard to stay in the lines while I'm coloring LOL

So...to celebrate, I'm having a Fun in the Sun party! Wanna join me? Just leave me a comment telling me what you enjoy doing in the summertime! There just may be a SURPRISE hidden for you :)

Today I have a wonderful sunshine-filled card to show ya! This is an exclusive stamp in the Sweet Meets Sassy Collection by Victoria Case for SCACD called Just Chillin'. Can you feel the warmth of the sun yet?

I've colored this beach babe with copics: E35 E34 YR21 YR20; E11 E21 E00 R20; B18 B16 B14 B12. For her dramatic eyes, I've used Lavender atyou Spica pen, Plum Berry Smooch and a touch of Stardust Stickles! Also, I've added a drop of Diamond Glaze on each lense of her sunglasses, her eyes and luscious glass of lemonade - well... what did you think she was drinking? lol

She's all cozy, snuggled up in the warmth of the sand. Ahhhhhh... I remember that feeling! To create the warm sand, I've used Toffee Ultrafine Flowersoft. To create the soft sky background, I simply used BG000 in soft circles (I didn't even blend it *gasp!*) You can see the sky better in the close up above.

The umbrella is a print n cut image from Nitwit. I used a sticky strip for dimension and gave it two generous coats of Ice Crystal Glamour Dust Ultra Fine Glitter Paint. I LOVE this stuff! I also painted the blue swirls to give it some shimmer too. I also LOVE these rhinestone swirls! It's part of a larger swirl. The sets of 3 rhinestones came from the same swirl. Multi-purpose... YAY!

Oooops... I almost forgot to tell you that this FABULOUS sketch came from the uber-talented Chelsea. I am ashamedly late posting this card for the CLP Sketch Challenge, but the good news is that you still have time to join in the fun for March!

I'm entering this card in the following challenge:
Bling It On - Anything Goes (option of charm)

If you haven't entered to win my mega CANDY, you can find it Here. Ends this Friday, March 25 at 11:59 PST.

***Now... don't forget to leave me a comment on this post only (as noted at the top). I will choose one person who will win some fabulous rhinestone swirls!! Ends Sunday, April 27.

I hope you've enjoyed my project and will come back often :) I appreciate all the lovely comments you leave. It makes my heart smile!!!

May God bless you, keep you and comfort your soul ~

A Double Release WOW!!!

Yippppeeeeee! It's Friday here in the US. That used to mean pizza and movie night. Now my hubby has dinner meetings on Friday, so I can eat cereal if I want to lol! It also means a few hours of pure craft fun - yay!!!! You should see my work desk... or not. It is in need of clean up BIG TIME. I know that you know what I'm talking about - the way your work area looked before you cleaned it lol! Mine probably is much worse though. I have piles all over the place... but a section in front of me is relatively clear so I can color hee hee!

Have you been hopping today? I'm sure that you've already seen some FABULOUS inspiration from the uber talented DTs from SCACD and Quixotic Paperie! You should have started with Kim and hopped until you reached Mary who then sent you to me :)

If you get lost, or have stumbled upon my blog, you can find the entire Hop List at the store blog HERE.

Let's get ready for some WHEN SWEET MEETS SASSY fun!!! This awesome DOUBLE release is by the fabulously talented Victoria Case. All Victoria Case for SCACD collections are exclusives... you can not get them anywhere else! I must say that this NEW DOUBLE RELEASE is definitely one of my most favorite releases! There's not a bad apple in the bunch lol!

From the Bonita's Collection, I'd like to introduce you to 'Beach Bonita.' This is a collection of 4 stamps with a bonus flourish stamp which is only available in the set.

Oh... she's so beautiful! Doesn't it kinda look like you're seeing her while in a submarine? Pretty cool, huh? Look at that gorgeous flowing hair!

Beach Bonita is colored with my fave copics: Hair - E35 E34 YR21 YR20; Skin - E11 E21 E00; Shells - E55 E53 E50; Coral - R81 R11; Seahorse - BG02 BG01 BG000, accented with white gel pen and lots of Stardust Stickles!

To make it look like the image is on the other side of a window, I die cut a circle out of acetate, gluing it on top of the image which was already die cut using my Nestabilities Classic Large Circle. I then cut a circle frame and glued that on top of the acetate to cover up the mess lol!

Do you see all the water droplets? I made them with Diamond Glaze. I also covered the fish cutouts with Diamond Glaze. It makes them look like shiny puffy stickers! You can use this product to make anything a 'puffy sticker!' It is a staple in my craft pantry. LOVE Diamond Glaze :)

Another FABULOUS new product I LOVEEEEEEE is Glamour Dust paint. If you click on one of the photos, it should enlarge so you can see in detail (hopefully) how shimmery this paint is. I've used Ice Crystal on the white swirls and also on the yellow flowers. Take a peek and see if you can see! Not sure the camera captured it, but it is beeeeeutiful!!! Susana has a ton of other colors at the store you'll want to see!

From the Retro Crew Collection, I'd like to introduce you to Mrs. Cleaver. This also is a collection of 4 stamps with a bonus lava lamp stamp which is only available in the set.

Isn't she a doll? AND...if you happen to be old enough to remember Leave It to Beaver, doesn't she remind you of his mom, June??? She always had everything together and could whirl around in heels and pearls! Me? Gimme my sweats or jammies n slippers LOL!

Mrs. Cleaver is also colored with copics: Hair - E49 E59 E25 E53; Skin - E11 E21 E00 R20; Dress - BG18 BG13 BG11 BG10; coffee pot and cup - E49 E17 E15 E13 E11. Stardust Stickles accents her apron and collar, and Diamond Glaze gives her eyes, shoes, coffee pot and cup great shine! Do you like the gold edged roses? The larger one is a Prima Sugar Bloom Rose which already comes with the gold. I included some Mini Roses as well, so I decided to edge them all with Gold Stickles to match. Voila!

The panels were sewn this time with my sewing machine, but I've also used my Sew Easy and will continue to use this cool tool. I just purchased the zig zag attachment and can't wait to use it!!!

Here's the gorgeous embellishment I created using one of Prima's Vintage Trinket Charms. I 'distressed' a white button with Viva Decor Gold Inka Gold with a little bit of Viva Decor Rose Inka Gold then I brushed a bit of Glamour Dust Gold Glitz Ultra Fine Glitter Paint over the top. When that was dry, I attached it to the gold piece I found in the jewelry section at my local craft store. To attach the charm to the now gold backed button, I used the wire that held the charm to the original package - I know... frugal :)

Now that you've had a taste of what's in each set, I know that's it's impossible to choose just one... so here's the good news :) If you purchase the entire Sweet Meets Sassy Collection (4 Bonita's and 4 Retro Crew) you will receive 2 bonus stamps (Flourish and Lava Lamp)!!! Remember, these are SCACD exclusives AND they are available NOOOOOOOW - yippppeeee!

For our European friends, please check out Quixotic Paperie who is an exclusive SCACD retailer. Elaine rocks - you'll love her!!!

Thank you so much for stopping by! Your next stop is Lisa H. Happy Hoppin'!!!

May God bless you, keep you and comfort your soul ~
