Quilted Friendship Card and a Sleepy Dog!

Can you believe that I'm back so soon?  I am wanting to create and post more often these days :D  That's a good thing... especially since it's still so HOT!  I have my faithful puppy dog snoozing on the cool floor beside me as I prepare this post.  Ahhhhh... the life of a dog lol!

See that box by his head?  It's full of stamps I need to go through and send as candy to one of my blog friends!!!  Soon.......

He's abandoned his toy after he ate the treat of course... see that white spot in the lower right corner?  That's his paw.  Yes, the floor is much cooler!

Ooops!  My camera was a little too loud lol!  He's not really awake... he just flopped right back where he was (see photo #1) LOL!!!

Are you a 'die-hard' crafter who loves practically every craft?  I couldn't quite put myself in that category, but I do love to have my hands on a wide variety!!!  Quilting is one of them.  I have numerous unfinished quilts waiting for 'someday!'

Today's card is a faux quilt.  Well, ok... not even 'faux' but it was fun to make :D

I've seen the technique I used around blogland (I think some call it Pillow Top).  What I've noticed on mine though, is that the 'seams' were pretty light.  I should have used a darker color!  So to remedy this, I decided that I would 'stitch in the ditch' (a term that refers to quilting following the seams) using my copic multiliner.

This is the cutie-pie I used.  I'm in love with her  She's called Big Hat Peeker by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD.  She's colored with copics and accented with both Ice Silks and Stickles.  ShinHan Twin Touch Markers can be found HERE.

Challenges Entered:
Totally Papercrafts - Inspired by a Song (Friends by Michael W. Smith)
Allsorts  - Use Metal
Craft Your Days Away - Anything Goes (Final Challenge!)
Totally Gorgeous -  Strings the Thing
Stamptacular Sunday - Let's Hear it for the Girls
No Matter Which Challenges - Anything Goes
The Corrosive Challenge - Cute as a Button #156
Mad for Markers - Anything Goes (sorry I didn't write down the colors!)

The tag is a double decker I created using Memory Box Classic Tags.  The distress ink I used to create the background and edge the tag is Weathered Wood.  The pearls were created using Viva Decor Paper Pen in Opal (20% off!).  I just picked up a package of safety pins at my local grocery store for 25 cents!  I thought it would fit in nicely with this theme :D  I used Scrapper's Floss for the thread HERE.  I really like how it doesn't unravel like thread.  It is a bit thicker, but as you can see, it knots up beautifully... AND I need every color LOL!!!

All gluing was done using ScraPerfect Best Glue Ever (my FAVE!!!).  One of the reasons I LOVE it so much is that it's quick and easy adhering paper layers.  Just a little is needed and it's STRONG!  I don't have to try and remember how to reload my ATG again...and again...and again hee hee!

Do You Love Shoes?

Hello sweet friends!  I'm so glad you're here : D  It's been a very rough week...  One thing I've learned though is that no matter what we go through, there is ALWAYS something we can smile about.  Maybe I'm not happy at the moment, but if I look hard enough, I will begin to see that I am truly blessed.

How 'bout you?  Are you making a conscious choice to treat yourself as you would treat others?  I know that sounds backwards, but aren't we usually harder and more critical on ourselves than we are on others?  How many times have we gone out of our way to help a friend?  Let's begin to be more kind to OURSELVES : D

I declare today to be...  'Be Nice to Yourself Day' ... and the next one.... and the next one... and the next... hee hee!

Do you love shoes?  Does the thought of going shopping for shoes bring excitement?  Be nice to yourself today!  Is shoe shopping not in the budget?  Window 'shoe' shopping is free... and then maybe lunch with a friend is in the budget : D  As for me... I pretty much wear the same shoes everyday.  I begin the day going to the gym, so more times than not, you'll find me in a pair of sneakers!  But I do love getting together with a dear friend every day for coffee/tea/friendship ♥

Today's image is 'If the Shoe Fits' by Victoria Case for SCACD from The Fairylicious Collection.  You can find her, as well as her fairy friends *Here.*

She is overjoyed that her new shoes fit... and who doesn't love a comfortable pair of shoes???  She's stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and colored with the following copics: RV34 RV32 RV11 RV10 RV00; G24 G21 G40 BG000 BG0000; W7 W6 W5 W4 W3 W1 E50; E11 E00 E000; E49 E59 E25 E53.

To achieve the transparent, but sparkly appearance to her wings, I used Transparent Gloss Gel with Glamour Dust sprinkled on top.  Both sets of eyes, shoes and bottom of the shell also received a nice coat of gloss gel.  One thing I like about the gloss gel vs Diamond Glaze is the control-ability.  Both have great applicators, but the gloss gel is thicker and gives a more dimensional quality.  I suppose you could use multiple coats of Diamond glaze, but for smaller areas, I still prefer Transparent Gloss Gel - I really do!

Gorgeous dp is from the Kaisercraft Bonjour paper pad.  The top two layers have been distressed with Spun Sugar Distress Ink as well as the doily peeking out under the tulle I used as ribbon.  I LOVE tulle : D

Guess what I haven't used in a while?  My PINK (Rose) Paper Pen!  I discovered that I have two of these for some reason...  Do you love PINK???  Anybody want to WIN my 'other' Rose Viva Decor Paper Pen?

The first person letting me know by leaving a comment
on this post only, WINS!
Warning:  You may have to wrestle it out of my hands first lol!

Here's a better view of the shiny parts from the gloss gel : )

See that cute lil tag?  I stamped the sentiment (Hero Arts) with Black Onyx VersaFine Ink Pad, distressed with Spun Sugar, a couple of paper pen pearls and tied on using Sew Easy Floss in 'Princess' Pink.  Can you believe that I actually used my Cricut (woot woot!!!) to cut out the tag?   My dusty old Cricut is seeing more use lately!  Have you entered my Cricut Cartridge Giveaway?  You can find the post *Here.*

Susana has a nice variety of Memory Box dies.  There is a Classic Tags set (currently out of stock *sad face*) one tag is similar to the size and style I used on this card.  You can find it *Here.*  Check out the other cool designs *Here.*

Because the base layer of dp is textured and slick, I've used Scor-Tape to adhere the middle layer to the bottom layer - AND because the tulle makes the bottom layer bulkier, as I've wrapped the ends behind the paper, I've also used Scor-Tape to adhere the layers to the card base.

New Product Alert!
Crafters' Workshop Stencils (Some designed by Victoria Case!!!)
NEW 2012 Copic Markers - 12 piece set

Thanks for stopping by : D

Hot Cocoa Anyone?

Happy Tuesday everyone!  Did you have a good weekend?  Mine was a busy one.  The ravioli making was actually very fun.  I'd never made pasta before!  I have a 'pasta' machine for my clay, but I don't think it's the same lol!  Anyway, the Butternut Squash Ravioli turned out YUMMY : D

Now my hubby is sick : (  But the good news is that I don't have to cook lol!  As I write this, it's evening in California.  Just about time for me to fill up my Tinkerbell mug with Starbuck's Hot Cocoa.  Yes, it's true... I've become a hot cocoa snob!  When did that happen?  I used to enjoy Nestle's... *singing* N-E-S-T-L-E-S, Nestle's makes the very best... chocolate!  If you are young in years, you will not get my song, but those of us who are a bit older will remember : D

I decided that it was time for me to haul out my Cricut and cut out a tag for today's project.  I've used A Cuppa by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD.  Isn't she darling?  And look... she already has her Starbuck's Hot Cocoa!!!

I've used my usual... copic markers to color this cutie-pie.  She's accented with Stardust Stickles (my fave Stickles!).  I made the pearls with my Graphite Viva Decor Paper Pen.  I love blue and black together : )

Here's another view to show you how scrumptious the Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz is that I sprayed over the entire piece!  I may have overdone it just a tad hee hee...
Here's the Recipe for this oh-so-cute-tag!

Flower and Jewelry:  Hobby Lobby
Stash:  Ribbon, Lace, Cardstock

New Spring Fairies are Here!

This is the day the LORD has made... let us rejoice and be glad in it : D

Welcome friends!  Happy Sunday to all of you. Anybody out there a 49er Fan?????  Yahoooo!  What an incredible game yesterday!!!  I am overjoyed at how well they have been playing this year.

I wasn't always a football fan.  Nope.  Anytime there was a game on, you'd find me shopping lol!  While recovering from cancer (almost 5 years ago - yay!) I developed my new interest.  To be honest, it's what my family watched, so I watched.  I decided that I needed to pay attention (or distracted!) and ask questions so I could learn what was going on : D

Not interested in football?  How 'bout some pretty paper, stamps and ribbon?  I can hear some of you saying, "Now your talking!"  You know that Susana always brings in the BEST 'stuff.'  She's been busy behind the scenes preparing some awesome surprises : D

I'm showing an 'oldie' fairy stamp from the Fall Flora Fairies by Carmen Medlin for SCACD, but SCACD Designers are showcasing some fun NEW Spring Flora Fairies today!  You can find the lineup on the Store Blog *Here.* Wanna cut to the chase cuz you KNOW you want them before seeing them? LOL!  You can find all the Spring Flora Fairies *Here*

This is Friendship Rose by Carmen Medlin for SCACD.  Oops... I forgot to stamp the ROSE which comes with her : (  It's FABULOUS though - and my fav!!!

All of the Flora Fairies have an accessory stamp.  Isn't that cool?  If you missed the Fall Flora Fairies, you'll want to see those too : D

Let's Go Shopping!

Happy Saturday to you!  I hope that you have a relaxing weekend that's filled with lots of fun and crafting time :D  Tonight I'm attending a wedding.  The dress I wore to the last wedding I went to was the same dress I wore to another wedding two years earlier.  I'll give you one guess to tell me which dress I'm wearing tonight lol!  But here's the question... will it actually fit???  It was pretty tight last time... I'm hoping I'm hoping I'm hoping... I'll let you know how it goes : )

Yesterday I went shopping with my sweet friend, Vickie.  If you need a good friend who makes you laugh, who is always there for you, and is completely trustworthy... you'll want a friend like Vickie.  God has blessed me with her friendship and love in ways that I could only dream of... truly a God-send friend :D  I hope that you have at least one person in your life that you can share your heart with!

I dedicate my card today to you, Vick...  I thank you and love you with all my heart!!! Let's laugh away the pounds again real soon!

This is an adorable digi by Di's Digi Downloads called Shopping Bear.  She's for the Girly Creations Challenge at Digi Designs Challenge Blog.

I've used copics to color her:  V17 V15 V12 V01; B97 B95 B93 B91; E49 E59 E35 E34 E33 E31 E30 R20.  I was pleased to see that the pearls I made using Viva Decor Paper Pen in Lilac was a pretty good match for this card.

She needed some bling, so I gave her dress and some of the shopping bags two coats of Ice Crystal Glamour Dust Ultra Fine Glitter Paint.  I LOVE LOVE LOVE Glamour Dust Paint!  It paints on easy and the glitter doesn't get everywhere!!!  AND you can use it on digi's (unlike Stickles which makes the ink bleed and ruins the image cuz it all ends up looking black!).

A single Wild Orchid flower, encased by a decorative rhinestone corner piece gives a bit of an elegant blingy feel : )  The double charms in the lower corner and white tulle were given to me by a sweet crafty friend... Thank you, Tammy - mwah!!!  This card is being reserved for YOU!

I used a punch around the page set by M.S. with dp by My Mind's Eye, A Beautiful Life.  So what do you think?

The challenge begins today at Digi Designs Challenge Blog - yahoooo!  Get in your Girly Creations so we can see your amazing work : )

Thank you to our sponsor this week which is Crafty Boots who is giving a $10 voucher to the winner!!!  Yay!!!

Challenges Entered:

A Present for You!

Welcome back friends!  Before I whine a bit, I want to let you in on a secret...  There is candy hiding in today's post : )  Well, today is Wednesday, but it sure feels like a Monday!!!  Can I cry on your shoulder for just a little while?!?  I'm not even sure why LOL.  Some days are just like that, you know?  I've been working very hard on A LOT of things...  One of which is eating healthier and exercising more.  A very good thing which I am happy about is that so far I've lost 15 pounds - yay me!!!  Blood work done in a couple of months will reveal how things are looking on the inside.  If you are over the age of 40, you know the aches and pains life brings...everything seems more difficult when your body hurts and you get tired faster ... Oh thank God for crafting!  What would we do without it?

I have a confession to make.  Painting is done and floors were installed in my new craft room last week, BUT I haven't done anything to finish the detail work so I can begin to fill it up!  What in the world is wrong with me?  I've been moaning and groaning about having my craft supplies all over the house, and now that there is a perfectly good room (almost) ready, I am dragging my feet.  Want to know a secret?  I'm not sure what to do with it!!!  The desk I'm currently using is HUGE.  I mean BIG and HEAVY HUGE!!!  There is no way that I can get it into my craft room.  What do I use for desk space?  On a very limited budget, I need to come up with something... Any ideas?  I'd LOVE to know...  What do you use?  I'd also like to put my computer in there.  The room is about 12'x12' which is a pretty good size.  Help!?!?!

*End of whining..*  : )

OK...my title today is a tiny bit misleading, but it really does lead into a present for someone!  First, in 2 more days, I will reveal the WINNER of my Surprise Candy : )  If you missed it, you can find all the information *Here.*  I've enjoyed reading all of your comments about what you like to give/receive as Blog Candy.  You've given me some great ideas... and just maybe YOUR idea will be offered as candy!  Btw, I agree with each and every one of you hee hee.

So... for today, I am offering this lovely lady, Precious Present by Sylvia Zet for SCACD as a present!  If you'd like to have a chance at giving this beauty a home, just leave me a comment on THIS post by next Wednesday, October 5.  I'll announce the winner shortly after...

Sorry, I'm not at home (where I have the list) to let you know which copics I've used to color her... and boy is she FUN to color!!! DP is Webster Pages *Here.*  The metal embellishment in the corner was made by yours truly.  It's the last one I had, so I have to make more!  I began by making a mold of 4 stacked metal corners (because they are so thin).  I filled the mold with Crystal Gel (which happened to be Blue/Green) and let dry overnight.  After removing from the mold and trimming, I applied a generous coat of Silver Precious Metal Paint (LOVE this paint!!!).  Voila'!  It is very lightweight and easy to adhere to your card or project.  The best part about having molds is that I can make as many as I need and use any color to match my card.  Tutorial using Molds and Crystal Gel/Modeling Creme *Here.*

Isn't she a doll?
I've glittered her wings with Ice Crystal Glamour Dust Ultra Fine Glitter Paint.
So easy to use... just paint on!  No glue or messy glitter to get everywhere : )

Of course, I needed to sneak in some pearls using my Rose Paper Pen (THIS is my absolute fave paper pen of all time!!!)  Susana carries lots of different colors *Here.*

I've been asked to show my paper pens, but again, I'm not at home, so until I can get some up close and personal photos of what the paper pens look like and the different pearls they make, take a look at this Tutorial on Making Your Own Scrolls *Here.*  The paper pens are the same size (BIG!).

I hope that the good outweighed my little whining session today lol.  It's not fun to continually hear someone complaining is it?  I do try to allow Jesus to shine through in whatever I'm doing, but...since I'm human...EEK!!!  Not perfect, just saved : )  Praise be to God!!!

Thank you so much for joining in the fun today.  Don't forget to leave a comment if you'd like to be in the draw for Precious Present!  You can find the rest of this Oh-So-Adorable Release by Sylvia Zet for SCACD *Here.*

May God bless you, keep you and comfort your soul~

Peeker Fever Preview Day Three and Candy!

Welcome back my sweet friends!  It's been very quiet here lately... so much going on in my life right now!  Actually, when isn't there something going on in each of our lives???  Just sometimes, it seems more intense... This is another season of change for me.  My 'baby' moved out on Saturday (waaaaaaaaaa).  I'm excited for him, but also sad :(  As a mom, don't you just want to hold onto your children forever?  I wouldn't mind lol!  BUT, I have good news!  I'm gonna have a new craft room!!!  I try and focus on that instead of missing my son.  Most times it works, but then something comes up and I get this pain in my heart (waaaaaaaaaaaa).  Enough blubbering!  Let's move on to something FUN...

If you haven't heard, Susana has announced the New Outbreak of Peeker Fever!  Oh my!  Did you love the 'old' Peekers?  Well, get ready for the BEST Peekers ever!  I don't know how Elisabeth Bell does it, but she keeps getting better n better!!!  I can't even tell you a favorite in this New Release... you'll definitely want 'em all!  There are still two Peekers you haven't seen, so you'll want to check out the Designers showcasing those Wednesday and Thursday (see Store Blog).  AND... there are even two more which won't be shown until Release Day on July 29.  So many adorable stamps Oh My!

Today's Sneak Peek is Bubble Bath Peeker by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD.  I'm tellin ya... I sure could use a spa day - not to mention a good soak in the bathtub!

Except for the flip flops, I've gone Crystal Gel crazy again : )  Need I repeat myself and say, "I LOVE this stuff!!!"  The 'bubble' button on the bow and the rubber ducky started out as buttons.  I created a mold for each one and filled them with Transparent Crystal Gel.  When dry (I usually let it sit overnight) I popped them out of the molds, trimmed the excess (very easy to do) and painted them.  Ta Da!  Unique embellies that I can make over and over and paint any color I want.  How great is that?  I'm tellin ya... I am having a BLAST with Crystal Gel and mold making.  I also have quite a few colors of Modeling Creme that you'll soon be seeing as more unique and personalized embellies. Oooooh, I can't wait for you to see the embellies I've made for Release Day!  I can hardly believe I made 'em...  Check back here on the 29th - I may be able to get a mini tutorial together for you by then.  If you love molds, you won't want to miss this!!!

Splish splash... so many bubbles lol!  Liquid Applique makes fabulous bubbles : )  Everything is wet in this adorable image... even the shiny bathtub!  Diamond Glaze does such a great job making things shiny - LOVE it!  DP is from the awesome Be Mine Paper Pad by Echo Park.  Another LOVE it hee hee...  For a little sparkle, I've outlined the inner panel and edges of the doily (which is actually cs cut with a die!) with Viva Decor Glitter Liner.  I only used a little, but it sure does have a BIG sparkle!  The flower centers on the flip flops and the black 'pearls' in the corners are Granite Paper Pen - yay... I finally got to use black : )

I hope you've enjoyed my card as much as I enjoyed creating it!  And now... it's CANDY time : )

Candy Alert:
How would you like to get your hands on this cutie?  Just leave a comment on this post for your chance to win and also on Alex's Peeker Post for a greater chance to win! Then check the Store Blog on July 28 after 11:00 pm EST to see if you've won.

So happy to be back... I've missed you!

Have a fabulous day ♥

May God bless you, keep you and comfort your soul~

Happy Birthday Quixotic Paperie!!!

Welcome friends!  Some of the SCACD Design Team have the pleasure of joining Quixotic Paperie today to help celebrate their 2nd Anniversary, and also to throw the spotlight on SCACD Stamps, which are available in the UK at Quixotic Paperie!

Today designers from both the SCACD Stamps and Quixotic Paperie teams are showing off creations featuring some of the gorgeous images available through SCACD Stamps.

It's not a hop, so feel free to dip in and out of the list of blogs however you please!

Here's the list of participants:

As you may be aware, SCACD Stamps is run by the lovely Susana of Susana's Custom Art & Card Design in the US.  The SCACD Stamps range is available in the UK exclusively at Quixotic Paperie.

There are three fantastic artists in the current range from SCACD Stamps - Carmen Medlin, Elisabeth Bell and Victoria Case, each with a different style.

As part of the celebrations and the spotlight today, there is a PRIZE GIVEAWAY!  Visit the Quixotic Inspirations blog for details and to enter!

For my contribution to today's celebration, I decided to use Hey Birdy Peeker by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD.  Can you believe this is the first time I've inked up this cutie pie?  I knew I was saving it for a special occasion!  Happy Happy Birthday Quixotic Paperie ♥  Elaine, you are fabulous!!!

After stamping with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, I colored in this wee babe with my fave coloring medium, copics:  RV34 RV32 RV11 RV10; YG05 YG01 YG00 YG95 Y15; B04 B01 B00 B0000; W9 W7 W5 W3 W1. I decided I wanted to keep her hat light, so I used B00 and B0000 for a bit of color, then sprinkled on a generous coat of sparkly Glamour Dust (on top of the glue, of course!).  The water in the bird bath needed a bit of shine, so it received my go-to Diamond Glaze.

The image was die cut using Small Classic Circle Nestabilities, layered over pink cs die cut using Small Classic Scalloped Circle Nestabilities.  The awesome pearls were made with my FAVORITE Opal Paper Pen by Viva Decor.

Isn't this adorable? It's a cupcake gift bag, template courtesy of Daisie Company.

More bling on the cherry using Glamour Dust and Stardust Stickles around the pink and green dots.  I was so happy when I realized I had this oh-so-perfect ribbon to match : )  I dug up a clear stamp set I purchased at JoAnn's last year which also came in handy for today's celebration!  The ticket background is one stamp, the outline another stamp, and the sentiment the third stamp.

HINT when using clear stamps:  You probably already know this, but I found out some helpful news while making the ticket sentiment.  Because of the clear stamp, when I used Memento Ink, the sentiment was blotchy and kinda blurry which is fine if that's the look you're going for (I wasn't).  I tried Versafine Ink next and it worked great!  When I stamped the ticket background, I used Distress Ink.  Again, I didn't like the way it turned out.  Next, I tried Stampin' Up Mauve Mist Ink which worked like a charm!  This is the result you see.  I don't know if they still have this color, but again, it's good to know that their ink works well with clear stamps.  Ta da!!!!!  I have a new appreciation for clear stamps now - yippeee!

Here's the backside...

Thank you for joining us, we hope you enjoyed checking out SCACD Stamps with us today!

May God bless you, keep you and comfort your soul~

For You My Dear Friend ♥

Hiya!  As I'm writing this post, I have my little furbaby over my shoulder... In my post yesterday, I told you that he is just a baby (a four year old baby!).  I'm tellin' ya...he acts just like one.  He loves to cuddle and put his head on my shoulder!  It's WONDERFUL when it's cold : )  He's the best heater!

Well, I'm still gone on a business trip, but wanted to get this posted so you could see another fabulous image by Carmen Medlin for SCACD.  This is definitely one of my favorite stamps from the new Natural Beauty Collection.  Here's my take on Gathering Love:
This card has already gone to a good home...  one of my dear friends had a birthday on Saturday and I decided that she needed this beauty.  I chose the color palette she likes... which is not one that I normally use... but have decided that I needed to get out of the box more often!  Do you find that you reach for your favorite colors most often too?  It's so easy to do.  When I use colors or a style of paper that isn't my first choice, I actually am not sure if it looks good.  Isn't that funny?  Then... of course, I think, 'Maybe what I think is beautiful, someone else is gagging!' LOL!!!  Oh well.

I do think this card is pretty and turned out nice : )  She's stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Cryogen White and colored with copicsHair - E35 E34 YR21 YR20; Dress - Y17 Y15 Y13 Y11; Bow/Flower/Hearts - YR24 YR16 YR15 YR14 YR12 YR01 YR00; Grass/leaves - YG63 YG05 YG03 YG01.

Papers are printed from Nitwit.  I'm really enjoying using digi papers cuz you can print them over and over as many times as you need!  Roses are Prima and Cream Pearls from Viva Decor Paper Pen.  I've added Citrus Crush Ultra Fine Flower Soft over the grass area for the feeling of being in a meadow... Isn't she the sweetest?  Yes... just for you, my Dear Friend!!!

I'll be back in a few days with more projects... I'm hoping to have some serious coloring time while I'm gone!  I'm almost positive that I won't have access to a computer, so I'll miss you :(  Maybe my phone will be charged enough at the right time to be able to hop over to a few of your blogs!

See you soon, my lovely friends

May God bless you, keep you and comfort your soul~

Happy Birthday CLP!!!

Hello my friends!  I pray you are having a wonderful weekend.  Today, I'm attending a Donor's Luncheon with a dear friend who lost her daughter about a year and half ago.  This is the first time she is able to go on behalf of her daughter, so a group of us girls are accompanying her.  Such an emotional time... I know that the LORD is bringing healing to her soul, but it sure is a long and hard road!  I pray today for anyone who has lost a loved one.  I send you heart hugs and ask the LORD to surround you and comfort you!

Thank you so much for joining me today as we celebrate CLP's First Birthday!!!  We have such a talented and sweet group of girls, you'll surely be WOWed at the fabulous creations they have on display!  I'd like to give a big shout out first to Chelsea for her amazing sketches.  If you haven't joined in the Sketch Challenges yet, you are missing out!  You can find the Challenge Blog Here.

If you've come from Dunja's Blog, you are right on track.  If you didn't start at the beginning, you'll want to head over to Maria's Blog.

Please join me in welcoming some new faces to the CLP DT.  Each of these lovely ladies bring such JOY and talent to the team.  They are:

Welcome Sweeties!!!
And now for my card to celebrate this happy occasion!  I decided that I just HAD to use Sweet Mischief Peeker by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD for this Birthday Celebration : )  Isn't she darling?  The cake may be just out of reach right now, but you can be sure that she gets her share of the yummy goodness!
I must know... is your mouth watering as much as mine right now? lol!  This is an angel food cake, which is my dear friend's favorite cake.  It is covered with a light strawberry glaze/whipped cream and topped with strawberries :)  I know that they look round, but as long as we're pretending, I say they are strawberries!  The glaze/whipped cream topping is drenched in Diamond Glaze and the strawberries, flowers, hearts and clothing accents were given the customary Stickle treatment : )

Copics used: E49 E59 E25 E53, R85 R83 R81 RV000, BG18 BG13 BG11 BG10 BG000 C1
Of course, I've used Chelsea's FABULOUS sketch!!!  I had so much fun with this sketch, I'm on my way soon to create another card with this same sketch :)  DP is Madeline by Prima.  Roses are a combination of Wild Orchid and Prima.  The ticket is from Whimsy Stamps and the sentiment inside is from the Forever Friends set by JustRite.  I also used the ticket die from Whimsy.  This is the first time I've used it and I needed to make some adjustments to get it cut out just right.  Now that I'm familiar with it, I can see how convenient it is!  Me thinks you may be seeing more tickets on my cards in the future... I know - I'm usually the last one to get on board with new products.  These have been around for awhile, but I still like em!

Cute cute cute border punch by MS... Gorgeous pink pearls from my Rose Paper Pen : )  If this is the first time you're visiting me, you must know that I am in TOTAL LOVE with my Paper Pens!!!  They are by Viva Decor and come in a variety of colors.  The most used color for me is P I N K - is there any other color? hee hee!
