I don't know about you, but I'm just done with hot weather! I am so tired of always mopping my face with a towel ha ha! You know what I mean though... the kind of being hot all the time and when you try to stand up, you stick to your chair LOL! The sad thing is that they say that this has been the coolest summer we've had in a very long time - blech... I think that God did it for me though - He knew that I'd be having my own heat wave regardless of the temperature outside. Thank you, LORD!
This is a very different kind of card from me today. I've been experimenting with different products lately and decided to try the Viva Decor 3D Glitter Gel. This is some cool stuff! It's very easy (but messy) to work with. Believe me, you won't mind the mess cuz it's so much FUN! I've used the Leaf Background stencil from Dreamweaver and Bronze 3D Glitter Gel from Viva to create the glittery background panel. When it dried, I spritzed Smooch over the entire piece and wiped away the excess on the stenciled areas.
This is my Try It Out *T* card. We were asked to use a Dreamweaver or Crafters Workshop stencil on our project along with Dreamweaver micas, paste, clay or Viva Decor Products. This one really challenged me... I broke out from my color palette comfort zone (again) and went with a Fall theme.
Leaves and sentiment stamps are from a new set I picked up from Susana at SCACD - Our Craft Lounge, Shades of Fall. I was very surprised to see the quality of this clear stamp set. It comes on a very sturdy mounting piece which is three hole punched to keep in a binder. It also shows (in color!) the stamps in the set, so you don't have to figure out what the stamps look like! That's so important with clear stamps. Very very nice!!! Susana has other sets from Our Craft Lounge Here. Take a peek... you won't be disappointed!
The stencil works really well. Here's a close up. You can see that the 3D Glitter Gel only went where it was supposed to : ) It is raised and very textured! There are lots of Dreamweaver stencils to choose from Here. They are sturdy and excellent quality! I have one with a teapot and teacup that I'm itching to use soon! Susana has a number of videos for you to watch to get you started. Go take a peek : )
If you like this color scheme, you'll want to check back here tomorrow. I have one more up my sleeve using the scrolls I showed you how to create on Monday! Don't forget to enter My Candy... ends August 31!!!
Have a fabulous day!

Make Your Own Scrolls!
Hello sweet friends! I am enjoying all the inspiration and your fave verses - thank you so much for sharing them with me : ) My 'Feeling Punchy' Candy is open until August 31 Here. I'd like to share one of my fave verses with you... "He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you will find refuge." Psalm 91:4. God is our ultimate 'safe place!' I do adore Him so...
I promised a few days ago that I'd put together a tutorial on how I made my scrolls. One card used Viva Decor Glitter Liner Here; the other used Viva Decor Transparent Gloss Gel and Flower Soft Here. For this tutorial, I'm using Viva Decor Transparent Gloss Gel and Glamour Dust! It is soooo pretty!
Here are the materials you will need:
I promised a few days ago that I'd put together a tutorial on how I made my scrolls. One card used Viva Decor Glitter Liner Here; the other used Viva Decor Transparent Gloss Gel and Flower Soft Here. For this tutorial, I'm using Viva Decor Transparent Gloss Gel and Glamour Dust! It is soooo pretty!
Here are the materials you will need:
Stamp of your choice (I used Prima - Nouveau)
Transparency (or waxed paper)
Using Memento Ink, stamp on transparency, carefully lifting the block so the image doesn't smear.
You can also stamp on paper and place waxed paper on top instead of transparency.
You can also stamp on paper and place waxed paper on top instead of transparency.
*Important step! Turn transparency over and apply Gloss Gel over (now reversed) stamped image using consistent pressure. If you apply Gloss Gel directly onto the stamped image, the ink will transfer to your scroll.
Sprinkle Glamour Dust over Gloss Gel while wet.
Tap off excess glitter onto scrap paper and return to bottle. Set aside scroll to dry.
Drying time may differ in your climate - overnight is best to start with.
Carefully peel off dried Gloss Gel.
The scrolls at the top are Transparent Gloss Gel and Glamour Dust.
The scrolls in the middle are Transparent Gloss Gel and Pink Glitter.
The scroll on the bottom left is Transparent Gloss Gel and Gold Embossing Powder - when dried I used my heat gun.
The scroll on the bottom right is Transparent Gloss Gel and Glamour Dust - when dried I gently dabbed color on with my copics.
I have also used Viva Decor Glitter Liner using the same process (except for the Glamour Dust). It can be thicker, depending on how you apply it. Experiment with different products and see what you like.
I was not happy with the results when I used the Pearl Pen. It flattened out and when I tried to peel it off, it crumbled. If you try the Pearl Pen and have good results, please let me know! I've also heard that the Paper Pen is not recommended for this technique. That really makes me sad 'cuz you know how much I love my Paper Pens : )
I hope you enjoyed my little tutorial. Please let me know if you have any questions!
Have a fabulous week ♥
May God bless you, keep you and comfort your soul ~

Try It Out Thursday Goes Nuts!
I am soooo thankful... the weather today has actually been somewhat cool. I am sitting in front of my computer as the breeze gently blows - or is it the fan? LOL!!! Anyway, I am positive that our P G & E bill has to be lower (we've only turned on the air conditioner maybe 3 or 4 times). I would like to turn it on everyday, but someone in my household has decided we didn't need it 'cuz of finances... hmmmph! Bah humbug I say! hee hee... At least I can still craft while sweating lol!
Here's another cutie from Victoria Case for SCACD Aurora 2 Collection - Nuts for You, The Sequel.
She's of course colored with copics... Greens: G28 G24 G21 G20; Browns: E35 E34 E33 E31 E30; Hair: E35 E34 YR21 YR20; Skin: E11 E21 E00.
Gotta love that BLING!!! Viva Decor Glitter Liner covers her hat, belt and shoes. Isn't the squirrel adorable? Makes me want to pinch it's little cheeks lol! These outfits for Aurora are really so much fun to color. I know I've said that before, but it's true! Each one I color turns out to be my 'favorite.' Do you do that too? So many stamps, so little time...
The DP I chose for this card is from 7 gypsies, avignon. It just happens to be on SALE right now! Cute, huh? I used a scrap of the same dp to make the flower. I punched out 3 scalloped circles, crumpled them up and then put a decorative brad in the center. So easy to make matching flowers for all your cards! Are you wondering about the scrolls? This is another one of my experiments : ) I used Transparent Gloss Gel Pen and sprinkled Toffee Flower Soft on top.
Pearl accents were made with Viva Decor Pearl Pen in Ice White. Small flowers, pin and ribbon from my stash...
Challenges TBA:
Creative Inspirations - Recycle (flower)
My Time to Craft - Farm Fever!
Creative Card Crew - Cute & Girlie
I'm hoping to have the tutorials up soon to show you how I made the scrolls...
Don't forget my candy Here. Ends August 31.
Thanks for looking!

Two New Techniques!
Hello friends! Thank you for all the wonderful birthday greetings... they sure did make my day : ) I've been spoiled the last few days! It began with my oldest son taking me (and hubby and younger son) to Esmeralda's for lunch. I love Mexican food - it did not disappoint! The next day, my sweet friend took me to lunch at Marie Callendar's where they have the 'best salad in the world!' But you know what I found out? The 'best salad in the world' was replaced by another 'best salad in the world!' It was similar to the first, but even better - yummy! I also had my first sour apple martini. M-m-good! That night, my DH took me to Mimi's Cafe where they have the 'best carrot raisin muffins in the world!' hee hee... The following morning, my sister and mom took me to... Mimi's Cafe (yes, again!!!) where I had more carrot raisin muffins and a very delish Cheddar Broccoli Quiche. Oh the calories... We saw Toy Story 3 - very cute movie : ) - had to have frozen yogurt at Yogofina. Do you have something similar in your area? They have great frozen yogurt, but the toppings are out of this world! I had Snickers, brownie, granola, strawberries and blueberries. It was fa-nominal!!! After that, we were thirsty, so we headed over to Starbucks!!! We sat and talked and sipped our drinks... They had to roll me out the door LOL!
So now I'm not only spoiled, but I've probably gained about 10 pounds! Oh well... I keep thinking that when I lose the extra baggage that has somehow found it's way on my body, it'll be a good testimony of how following First Place 4 Health has helped me get slim and trim - yaaaaahooooo! The first class starts on September 22. I can't wait...but I can hee hee!
If you're still with me, I'd like to show you my card and a new technique I used!
This stamp is from Victoria Case for SCACD - Aurora 2 Collection, 'Walk in the Park.' I have fallen in love with this collection! Her outfits are so much FUN to color : )
She's colored with copics... Pinks: RV34 RV32 RV10 RV00 RV000; Greens: G28 G24 G21 G20; Hair: E35 E34 YR21 YR20; Skin: E11 E21 E00 R20. For LOTS of bling, I used Viva Decor Glitter Liner. After I colored the image, I applied the glitter liner on her hat, belt and shoes. Do you like the bling-y scrolls? I hope to have a tutorial soon to show you how I made them! Although you can certainly 'draw' them directly onto your project, I chose to create them first and then glued them down once I found a pleasing design. I also found a way to incorporate my fave Rose Paper Pen, of course hee hee!
DP is Memory Box, Gossamer (LOVE this paper!!!). Circle and Scalloped Circle die cuts are from my nesties. Behind the scalloped circle, I've layered a punched border using MS Optic Dot corner punch. I played with the punch until I made something I liked! Corner punches are no longer just for corners!
The larger, funky looking flower is one that I made. Another first! I used scrap dp from a previous card. I hope to do another tutorial on how I made this oh so easy flower! You can make flowers to match all your projects. How cool is that? All of the flowers received a very healthy spritz or two of Iridescent Pearl Maya Mist and then edged with Stardust Stickles. Oh so sparkly!
Challenges Entered:
One Stop Craft - Summer Fun
Creative Inspirations - Recycle (flower)
Dutch Dare - Anything Goes
Creative Card Crew - Cute and Girlie
You'll want to check back soon for another new technique I've discovered... It will be revealed for the next Try It Out *T*...

A New Stamp for TIOT!
Good morning friends! It's been a lovely day so far... I've been to Bible Study at my local coffee shop where my cards will be sold (YAY!!!) and I was able to ride 10 miles on the bike at the gym. Whew! You'd think that I would be blowing away in the wind by this time, but nooooooooooo - if anything, I've gained weight! Can you believe that? I think it's because I know that I'm changing my eating habits in a few weeks (a few weeks? yes.) So I'm getting all the yummy goodness in before then lol!!! Sigh...
I have a new stamp to share with ya today! She's the most adorable-ist stamp I've seen in a while. I know... adorable-ist is not a word, but it is today. I'm using it for Try it Out *T* at SCACD! That sounds like it should be words to a song lol!!! I know it's hard to see, but I've actually stitched around the edge of the dp...
This is one of Victoria Case's NEW RELEASE stamps from the Aurora 2 Collection which is only available at Susana's Custom Art & Card Design. She's called Out on the Town and you can purchase her Here. I LOVE how she's holding the flower 'umbrella.' Soooo cute! There are other cuties from this set as well which you'll be seeing over the next couple of weeks. DP is BasicGrey Olivia which has some delish papers!
She's colored with copics of course. Susana has convenient copic bundles Here. I've used the following to color Out on the Town: Blues: B05 B02 B02 B00 B000; Pinks: RV34 RV32 RV10 RV00 RV000; Greens: G28 G24 G21 G20; Hair: E35 E34 YR21 YR20; Skin: E11 E21 E00. After the image was colored, I applied Ultra Fine Flower Soft in Toffee to part of the center of the flower. Cool, huh?
Don'tcha LOVE that sparkle? I'm tellin ya that nothing sparkles like this product (honest!) I've used Viva Decor Glitter Liner in Hologram for her hat, shoes and belt. The trim on her dress was screaming for me to use my Pearl Pen in Ice White and then another of my faves, Rose Paper Pen for the pink pearls. Have you tried the Pearl or Paper pens yet? They are sooooo much fun! I can't wait until I can buy more lol!
Oval and Scalloped Oval are die cuts using nesties. The decorative punch is Modern Garland corner punch which I played with until I got something I liked lol! The beautiful bow was made possible by the fabulous BOW EASY! I LOVE my Bow Easy... Prima Mini Rose adorns the top of the bow : ) One more thing... I 'distressed' the edges of the cs with Tim Holtz Bundled Sage Distress Ink.
Challenges Entered:

You Inspire Me!
Yes, you really do inspire me! I dedicate this card to my fellow crafty friends who've taught me SO MUCH over the past (almost) year!!! Your endless creativity and amazingly beautiful projects are so delightful and bring me great JOY : ) I thank God for bringing you into my life ♥
This week at Paper Romance Challenge Blog, Vicki has inspired and challenged us to create a card for a Teen. Here's what magically appeared as I put paper and copics together lol!
The image is called Bearly Inspired by Dustin Pike which is available from Paper Romance. DP is from my stash as are the brads. Tiny Mosaic Cuttlebug Embossing Folder for texture on the brown cs. I'm not sure whether or not a Teen would like this card... who knows? lol!!! I kept it clean and simple for a guy, so maybe it'll encourage someone to stay focused or maybe encourage someone to inspire others and help them stay focused?!?!?! Yeah... whatever... it's just plain CUTE!!!
Copics used: Bear (body) - E13 E53 E51 E50 (nose) - E18 E17 E15; Turtle (green) - G28 G24 G21 G20 (brown) - E18 E17 E15 E13 (edge of shell) - E50; Carrot - YR07 YR04 YR02. The turtle's shell and eyes got a thick coat of Diamond Glaze.
**I'm posting this EARLY! You still have time to get in on the fun for Paper Romance Challenge 9 which is Birthday/Celebration! On Thursday, August 5, the new challenge will begin : ) **
Hop on over to Paper Romance Challenge to see what the DT is up to, then show us what you've got!

Chelsea's Gurlee Girl
This is a super quick post since it's already past my bedtime zzzzzzz... This card should have been up three days ago! I didn't want to post at the same time as the blog hop though, so I waited until now.
This month's Sketch Challenge at CLP is awesome (as are ALL Chelsea's sketches!). I have another 'duh' story to tell you lol! I was so busy having fun with Blossom Fairy Avie that I totally forgot about the sketch. Now that I see it, my card is eerily close. I know that I didn't have to tell you the truth, but what fun would it be then?
