Make a Wish for Try It Out *T*

Oh my... I haven't posted for a week!  I bet you thought I went a.w.a.l.  I've been busy working on some orders mostly... Today I'm heading down to the Verizon Store.  My phone died - and I JUST got it a few weeks ago!!!  Isn't that irritating?  I understand when things get old and broken, but this is almost brand new... what's up with that?  Needless to say, I will NOT be getting the same phone grrrrrrr!

For this week's Try It Out *T*, Suzanne has given us the challenge of creating a shaped card - anything other than a square or rectangle.  I defaulted to round lol!  I was thinking about making a baby bottle or apron shaped card, but decided to make this cute scallop shape instead.  It fits nicely in an A2 size envelope (thanks Suzanne for clarifying the A2 size hee hee).  I used the largest scallop nestie to create my card base.

I've used one of the ADORABLE fairies Susana carries in her store.  It is a clear Pergamano stamp which comes in a set of 3 fairies in addition to lots of little critter friends!  You can find it Here.  She's the perfect size and shape for this card!  Yipppppeeee :)

No surprises... yes, she's colored with copics lol!  Greens:  YG45 YG41 YG0000; Oranges: YR02 YR01 YR00 YR000; Browns:  E57 E53 E51 E50; Yellows: Y15 Y13; Hair:  E35 E34 YR21 YR20; Skin: E11 E21 E00.

After coloring, I gave her wings some bling with Viva Decor Glitter Liner as well as a few accent areas and around the scallop.  For a little extra pizazzzzzz, I added a portion of a rhinestone swirl.

These gorgeous papers are KAISERCRAFT Secret Bird Society Collection.  They come with die cuts too!  The original tag was larger...I just cut it down to size.  Don't you just love cute little things? If it's small, I always think it's cute lol!  Sentiment is from Stampin Up!, button and thread from my stash...

Have you joined us in the shape challenge this week?  You'll want to check out the delish eye candy over at Follow Your Heart where the SCACD girls have created some amazing inspirational pieces for you to enjoy!

A Floral Thanks

Second Post for the day.  Please scroll down for Try It Out *T*

I really enjoyed creating this clean and simple card!  After I had colored it and decided on what paper to use, it was so quick and easy to put together.  My style tends to lean toward clean and simple anyway, and just in case you haven't noticed, if you ask me to name a color, more times than not, I will choose pink lol!  I would personally love to receive this haha...but alas, into the shop it will go!  This week, I received a call inquiring about selling my cards - yay!!!  I don't know what the outcome will be yet, but I am so excited that someone is approaching me : )  Thank you, Jesus!

Another of my faves are teddy bears ♥  This lovable, hug-able bear is from the stamp set Bunches of Love.  Cute huh???  I sooooo love cute!

I'm entering Popcorn in the following challenges:
A Pocket Full of Posies - Floral Fantasy
Crafty Cardmakers - Clean & Simple
Secret Crafter - Clean & Simple
Paper Players - Clean & Simple
Little Paper Shop - Clean & Simple
Gingerloft - Anything Goes
Pear Tree Designs - Animals

A Spoon Full of Sugar - Animal Crackers
Freshed Brewed - Brown
Cowgirl Sunday - Anything Goes

So cute n girlie : )  I've colored him with the following copics:  Browns - E35 E34 E33 E31 E30; Pinks - R85 R83 R81; Greens - G28 G24 G21 G20.  Stardust stickles adorn the flower petals and around the scallops.  The sentiment is computer generated and printed on top of D.a.i.s.i.e's Stitched Oval from the Gina Jane Cottage Roses Digi set.

I've used my trusty Opal Paper Pen for the pearls - loooooooovvvvvvvveeeeeeee this product so much!!!

Thanks for looking : )  Tomorrow is Friday - yay!!!  I need some sleeeeeeeeep...

May God bless you, keep you and comfort your soul~

TLC Try It Out *T*

Wwwwweeeeeeeeeee....... what a ride it's been lol!  I can't believe it's already Thursday!!!  Have you noticed that life continues to move forward whether or not you bought the ticket AND got on the plane?  I believe that God has much to do in and through us in these days and sometimes it feels like He is moving things at a snail's pace - other times faster than lightning!  One thing I DO know... He is always in control and desires all people to come to Him for eternal life.  What else could be more important than one's eternal destiny???  I'm praying that YOU have eternal life through Jesus Christ.  He says, 'I am the way, and the truth and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through Me.'  John 14:6

There is so much going on in the world and so many hurting people...  My heart breaks!  I do thank God for bringing people like you into my life and for blessing me with this crafting community - many days, THIS is what keeps me sane lol!  So... with the thought of those who are ill, I've made a card using Sketch Saturday's sketch to hopefully cheer them up :D

This week, Suzanne has challenged us to use 2 papers, 2 products and 2 embellishments on our Try It Out *T* projects.  Come join us, I'm having a blast!!!

The image is called TLC by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD Animapeeps Collection.  She's lovingly holding and caring for her dolly!  Doesn't it make you want to go give someone a hug?  Someone needs a hug, I say!  Maybe it's you... [HUG]

Challenges Entered:
Sketch Saturday - sketch
Alphabet Challenge - Scallops
Twisted Thursday - Animals
Pear Tree Designs - Animals
365 Cards Day 191 - All Creatures Great and Small
A Spoon Full of Sugar - Animal Crackers
Freshed Brewed - Brown
Cowgirl Sunday - Anything Goes

I've used the following copics to color in TLC:  Browns - E18 E17 E15 E13; Greens - G28 G24 G21 G20.  I added a touch of Gold Spica Pen to her eyelid for a bit of sparkle.  For LOTS of sparkle and for my first product,  I used Viva Decor Glitter Liner.  I think I've pretty much covered the whole card lol!

I've used Diamond Glaze on the eyes and shoes for 'product #2'.  For one of my two embellishments, I used a Maya Road Chipboard blossom which I 'smooshed' into a brown inkpad, then gave it a good coat of Glitter Liner.  The flower on top was from my stash.  I distressed it a bit with Antique Photo and touched the ends with Glitter Liner.  So even though the flowers are separate, they are glued together as one.  So I'm counting that as one :)

Papers are KAISERCRAFT Hippy Girl Collection.  I've even covered the lines on the dp with Glitter Liner!   I LOVE this stuff hee hee.  It can get into even a small area and will leave trails of glitter lines - so cool!  The ribbon was sheer white with spots... I distressed it with Antique Photo, edged and dotted it with Glitter Liner.  Does that count as a second embellishment?  Hmmmm... I think ribbon is pretty much a 'staple' for me, so for my second embellishment I'm claiming the sparkly buttons!  Guess what I used to make them so sparkly... lol!

I hope that you've found some love, comfort, a few laughs and a little inspiration here today!  I thoroughly enjoy our visits and look forward to seeing you every time : )

May God bless you, keep you and comfort your soul ~

You are my Sunshine : )

You are my sunshine... my only sunshine... You make me happy when skies are *blue... Join with me!!!  You never know dear how much I love you... Please don't take my sunshine away.  LOL!  Now fess up - did you sing out loud, or just in your head??? hee hee  Edited: ** Oops - 'blue' should be 'grey' (thanks Jack! Next time, you should lead us lol!)

This oh so adorable image by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD is from the Animapeeps collection.  She's called Just Ducky.  She LOVES your singing btw.

I've followed the sketch from Sketch Saturday - thanks, it was a lot of fun!  As a matter of fact, I have another one in the works using this same sketch lol.

Just Ducky is colored with copics:  ummmmm would you say pink? hee hee  RV11 RV10 RV00 RV000; blue - B01 B00 B000; orange - YR04 YR01.  Of course I had to add some bling!  I used my Quickie Glue pen and glitter for the dots on the umbrella and on top of the buttons.  For shine, I added Diamond Glaze on Ducky's eyes, boots and the 'froggy's' eyes.  Whose says that frogs need to be green?

DP is KAISERCRAFT Hippy girl CollectionCircle and scalloped circle die cuts with my nesties and embellished with Opal Paper Pen.  MS doily lace punch (I think that's the only one I know the name of hahahaha!) also embellished with Opal Paper Pen.  Have I told you lately how much I LOVE these Viva Decor Paper Pens?  Just look at all the 'pearls' I would have used just on this card.  I have tons more in the bottle lol!  The Paper Pens come in tons of delish colors too.  I'm gonna collect them all!!!

Sizzix die cut swirls embellished with... c'mon, say it with me... Opal Paper Pen :) The cute little tag with button at the top of the card is a QuicKutz die I've had a long time.  I need to use it more often - wait - I AM using it again on my next card tooooooo!  Faux stitching, ribbon, sentiment by studio g and heart charm finish it off.  Oh... I also picked up a new Cuttlebug embossing folder.  It's the larger 5 x 7 size so it covered the background cs - yay!!!  Susana has some of the new larger size Cuttlebug EFs Here.

I'm entering this in the following challenges:
Sketch Saturday - sketch
Moving Along With the Times - stitching
Cowgirl Up - Anything Goes
Crafty Cardmakers - Glitter

Simon Says - Pearls and Lace (paper lace)
Stampin B's - Charm
ABC - Charm

Furry Friends Challenge

The clock is ticking...  not only to tell me that Sunday is over and evening is beginning, but I only have three more days until I officially start First Place 4 Health.  I have conflicting emotions over this.  I WANT to eat cake (thanks to Mandy and Liz lol!) but I NEED to get this extra baggage off my body!!!  Ho hum.  I need to find a widget for my weight loss count down.  Anybody have a good one?

My card today is for Paper Romance Challenge (which started on Thursday).  My sweet teamie Angela has given us the challenge of "Furry Friends."  I'm so glad that she decided on using animals on our cards this week 'cuz that's exactly what I had lol!

Here's Night Time Bear by Melissa Jenkins.  Isn't he sweet?  I wanna pick him up and cuddle him lol!  I'm entering this card at Just Cute Bears Challenge - Let's Go Dotty.

He's colored with copics.  I'm sorry I didn't keep track of the browns I used... the blues are:  B97 B95 B93 B91; reds - R22 R20; yellows - YR24 Y15 Y13 Y11.  His ball of fluff at the end of his hat is covered with sparkly fluff.

Papers are 7 gypsies savannah collection.  I recolored the ribbon using Vintage Photo Distress Ink and added a metal slide.  I tried to make this 'male approved' lol!  You know how hard it is to embellish male cards (at least for me).  The sentiment stamp says, 'dear FRIEND' but I chopped off the dear part and used only the FRIEND.  Is it OK to use a heart on a guy card?  I figured it was sorta like an animal head mounted on the wall... you know what I mean?  The ones with the really big antlers or horns?  Well, this is a big ol' bear paw - arghhhhhh!  hee hee...

You still have time to enter this week's Furry Friends challenge at Paper Romance Challenge Blog.  You might be the winner of a $5.00 Gift Certificate to Paper Romance!!!  If you upload to an online gallery, please use the keyword prc14.

** Paper Romance News **

Thinking of You

Good morning!  So happy to see you again :)  Since my confession yesterday about being codependent, I thought that today I would share a little bit about my little puppy dog's issues lol!  He is in need of a good grooming.  Not just a bath kind of grooming, but a good hair cut.  He's a Bichon Frise and he looks like a cotton ball on steroids haha!  Well, the groomer is one of the LAST places Sammy wants to go.  For being such a little dog, he has the strength of a Great Dane.  Needless to say, he can't be groomed without first being drugged.  Yes, Sammy has a tranquilizer addiction and he has no plans of going through the 12 steps.  Hopefully, next week, he'll get a buzz (but here I mean the hair lol!) and then he'll be good to go for awhile...  Poor Sammy...

Onto my card - Here's another cutie-patootie from Elisabeth Bell for SCACD Animapeeps called Spot of Tea.  Isn't she adorable?  For this week's Try It Out *T* Suzanne challenged us to use three products as well as a stamped image from Susana's Store.  I chose:  Viva Decor Glitter Liner and Gold Paper Pen, Diamond Glaze, Flower Soft and Stardust Stickles.  Ok, that's actually five, but I say 'the more the better!'

Fabulous papers are KAISERCRAFT from the Hippy Girl CollectionPrima Mini Roses are covered with Stardust Stickles for that lovely bling effect.  These roses are so great and come in many different colors and sizes!  I love 'em : )

Image is colored with copics:  E35 E34 E33 E31 E30 YR21; BG13 BG10 BG000; YR21 YR20.  Her dress was given a nice coat of Viva Decor Glitter Liner - isn't it beautiful?  I love using this over my colored images.  It makes things POP!  Can you see the shine of her eyes and the teapot 'n cups?  I used Diamond Glaze for this effect - another one of my fave products...  To create the 'ground' I've used Ultra Fine Flower Soft in Sand, Toffee and Sage.  I was hoping it would look like a scattering of leaves in various colors - well... use your imagination lol!

I used my MS border punch at the top with Viva Decor Gold Paper Pen in the center of the flowers as well as the pearls in the corners.  Ribbon is from my stash and sentiment is from My Time Made Easy.

Challenges Entered:
Pollycraft Monday - Add a Little Nature
Wild Orchid - Make it Sparkle
Anything Goes - Flowers
Crafts and Me - Gems and Sparkle

Thanks for coming over to play today!

Blossom Fairy Cammy

Good Morning my wonderful friends!  It's been a little while since we've sat down to chat.  I pray that you've been well!  This week has been another emotional one for me.  It seems that there is no end to the work I need to do on myself.  You know... the junk - ugh!  You may already be very familiar with this word, but I've just acknowledged (stopped denying) that I am codependent.  With this 'revelation' comes both fear and freedom.  I know that seems like a contradiction, but I have great HOPE that with God's help, I will emerge as a butterfly, free to fly unencumbered by the baggage that has held me back for so long.  So... I am very hopeful and excited to see how Jesus heals yet another layer of stuff.

I love this adorable image from Gurlee Girl Craft Store.  She's Blossom Fairy Cammy and reminds me of being free to fly!  This month's sketch at CLP Challenge Blog, once again eluded me.  I don't know what has happened to my memory!  If you find it, will you please send it to me?  Thanks for being patient with me Chelsea!!!  Anywho, my card does have a tiny resemblance of the sketch, thankfully...

This MUST HAVE paper is Linen Closet by DCWV.  I LOVE it!!! Still going with the freedom to fly theme, I've included a cute little butterfly made with my MS punch and covered with Viva Decor Glitter Liner.  The gold pearls are Viva Decor Gold Paper Pen.

BF Cammy is colored with copics:  BG13 BG10 BG000; Hair - E35 E34 YR21 YR20; Skin - E11 E21 E00.  Her wings are covered with Transparent Gloss Gel and Glamour Dust.  The Gloss Gel gives more dimension than using glue.

 The sentiment is by Stampendous!

Challenges Entered:

That's my quick and simple card... thanks for stopping by!
