Just a Whisper... I Forgot!

*Second Post*  See below for Karen's Doodles...

Shall I send you a check now, or would you like to put it on my tab?  You didn't know that you were my therapist, did ya? LOL!!!  I simply can not tell a lie...  I forgot to post this card on Friday!  Really, I'm not that old yet!  I wonder what age 'that old' is - hmmmm...

Anyway, this is my last card for Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge (boo hoo...).  I want to say a huge 'Thank You!' to the F & F girls for putting up with me for so long!  It's been a very rewarding and FUN ride : ).  I'm so glad that it's not good-bye though.  With all this technology, I can connect with any of you in a moment's notice - that could be a good thing... or not! lol!

The challenge this week is "monochromatic and wings."  Oops... hee hee... where's the wings?
I am getting REALLY GOOD at making mistakes!  Aren't ya glad you're not me? lol!

Aren't these lil' cuties precious?  This stamp is called "Sweet Whispers" from the Victoria Case for SCACD Hearts and Hugs Summer Collection.  They are set on top of an embossed panel which I covered with Glamour Dust - I LOVE this stuff!  It gives a beautiful shimmer.  It is totally different than the Viva Decor Glitter Liner in Hologram (which I LOVE too, but for this card, I wanted the white to show through).  I think it gives a very elegant look : )

The image is colored with my fave copics, of course!  Hair:  E35 E34 YR21 YR20; Skin:  E11 E21 E00 R20; Dress and shoes:  C5 C3 C2 C1 C0.  You can find copic bundles Here.

Here you can see the textures and layers.  With a white monochromatic card, you really need to create texture in place of color and patterned paper...  I have to give credit to Suzanne Dean for the idea of this card.  Hers is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than mine, of course, but I was inspired by her 'white on white' card.  So, thanks Suzanne!!!

One Card for Three Design Teams!

Happy Happy Wednesday!!!

Are ya'll having a fabulous week?  I hope so.  Only two more days to go - lol!  The weather in California is very strange... but what else is new?  It looks like it's gonna rain, but it's kinda muggy.  It certainly doesn't help with my newly acquired hot flashes! lol!!!!  Well, they're not that new... only 6 months old - hee hee!  If ya can't get rid of 'em, ya might as well laugh about em {sigh}...

I am kinda cheating today.  I've had a busy week trying to get caught up with life (which never happens by the way).  I am hoping to be able to work ahead on my DT responsibilities...  So - I've made a sweet and simple card which actually qualifies for three of my DTs!  Yaaaahoooooo!  That's never happened before :)  In order of 'due date' I present to you my card for Paper Romance.  You have GOT to check out Amy's store.  She has tons of new merchandise including the adorable Bildmalarna stamps!

Today, I've used this adorable Strollin' Along stamp by High Hopes.

I've done a monochromatic scheme for i {heart} copics Fabulous Friday Challenge.

...and for Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge we have a recipe to follow.  See if you can find all the elements here!  3 stamps, 3 dp, 3 embellishments.  Sound easy?  It really is.  I originally thought that I'd have a complicated card, but I've sort of made a clean and simple card!  I really do have all of the ingredients in the recipe : )
Stardust Stickles
Diamond Glaze
DP:  Baby Girl - Making Memories
Sentiment and Diaper Pin:  Stampin Up!
Nellie Snellen Flower punch/emboss:  7Kids
Rhinestones, ribbon and charm from Michael's

Kaboodle - Monochromatic

Have you entered my CANDY yet?  You still have time...  I need to start stamping all those Magnolia images for the winner!  Who knows... there might even be a second winner...

Thank you for visiting me and for blessing me with all the encouraging words.  You truly do make blogging so much FUN!!!

See ya next time!

May God bless you, keep you and comfort your soul ~

My Very First Basket

I'm late, I'm late, I'm late for a very important date!!!  Oh me oh my...  I just couldn't stay up any longer last night to post this.  I was even late for my "date" with a friend to workout this morning.  Sometimes, life just gets in the way - lol!

Better late than never... here is my very FIRST basket!  I feel like I did when I finally made and posted my first easel card - ha ha ha...  I'm probably the last person to make one of these beauties : )  Here's the tutorial I used.

Here's one side, hee hee!

... and here's the other side : )

I do give thanks to the Fussy & Fancy Girls for having this challenge!  Without them, I still would not have conquered this intimidating looking project!!!  Thanks girlies : )  Hey, if I can do this, anyone can!!!  You'll want to check out the other waaaay cool baskets the DT have come up with.  Get your thinking caps on and join us in the basket challenge!

Next up - A Paper Romance and i {heart} copics duet!

Thanks for stopping by, my friends.

One Card, Two Challenges!

See post below for Prairie Fairy...

Are you glad it's Friday?  I am.  It's been a long week!  I feel like getting in my jammies and curling up with a good book.  I just might have a little time to do that tonight, but for now, I've got a zillion things to do - lol!

How bout you?  Do you have plans this weekend?  Saturday is a big day for me.  We are sponsoring the Beth Moore Simulcast, "So Long, Insecurity."  Have you seen this book in bookstores?  If you are in the Modesto, California area and want to come, the event is FREE (free will offering)!  Please call NOW at 209-602-4286 to reserve your seat.  Because lunch is provided, we'd like to know how many mouths to feed...  we don't want to run out of food!

Since I've been running around like a chicken with it's head cut off, I've had to combine a DT card for two different challenges this week.  Fussy and Fancy Fridays theme is Birthday - and also using something sweet.  i {heart} copics challenge #11 is to use two dps and color with copics (of course) three gems, brads, flowers or chipboard.  Can you tell which one I colored?

I'm not sure if I'll have time to find challenges to enter this week.  If I do, I'll edit this post!  So... I've given you three challenges today - surely one of them is perfect for that card you've been putting off.
Here's a recap:
Fairy Fun Fridays - distressing (but I didn't follow instructions... AGAIN!)
Fussy and Fancy Fridays - birthday, with a twist of using something sweet
i {heart} copics - 2 dps, and 3 gems, brads, flowers or chipboard colored with copics

It's Molly InStyle!

It's a beautiful (Fri)day in the neighborhood, a beautiful (Fri)day in the neighborhood...  won't you be my neighbor?  Does that ring a bell?  It's Mr. Rogers!  Don't tell me that you are not old enough to remember!  Yikes!  How funny it is when you remember random, useless information at the drop of a hat, but can't remember your address.  Noooooo, that has never happened to me - yet - hee hee!  But let me tell you a story about my sister...  Just kidding!

Today is Fussy & Fancy Friday Challenge.  Yippee!  The lovely and oh so talented, Mindy Baxter has cooked up this amazingly FUN sketch for us to follow.  Uh oh.  I wonder if I deleted that too... hee hee!  If you read my post from yesterday, you'll remember that there was an inspiration photo that was nowhere to be found.  Yep, my computer ate it - honest!
Here it is.  Isn't this sketch fab?  I reeeeeeealllly like it!  I definitely will be using this again.

And here we have Molly from InStyle Stamps.  Isn't she a cutie-pie?  Thank you, InStyle Stamps, for letting me play with her!  She fits perfectly with the pink, white and black theme.  She's been shopping and even has energy to burn!  I wonder what crafting goodies she has in those bags?  I could give her a long list I tell ya!

Copics
RV34 RV32 RV11 RV10 RV000
E21 E11 E00 E000 R20
C9 C7 C5
Diamond Glaze:  eyes and shoes
Atyou Spica Pen:  Silver
Stardust Stickles
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder:  Textile
MS lace border punch
Nesties:  oval

Here's a view so you can see what I did with the Stardust Stickles.  I got brave and made my own design on the white strip.  It just looked so blah being plain ol' white, so I gave it a little bling!  So tell me, do they actually make nesties that I could cut 1/4" bigger?  Again, I traced the size I needed and cut it out with scissors (don't look that close...).  I have gotten so used to these wonderful Nestabilities, I get cranky when I have to cut something out with scissors - hee hee!

Challenges Entered:
Simple Doodles - Layers
Kaboodle - Digi Girl

So now that you've heard me whine long enough, pop on over to the Fussy & Fancy Friday Challenge where you'll see tons of delish inspiration from the girlies!

Have a wonderful weekend, my friends!  Maybe I'll actually get my act together and take a photo of some goodies I've been storing up for ya...  Soon - I promise!

May God bless you, keep you and comfort your soul ~

Love at First Bite Remix!

Does it feel like deja vu today?  If you remember my easel card from Monday, this IS the same image!  I needed another Easter card using this beautiful charm from The Charm Barn and I didn't want to use the exact same card... so here's my remix!

This is for Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge, and you guessed it, the theme is Easter!  The image is Love at First Bite from Karen's Doodles.  Isn't it just the cutest?  It makes me so happy looking at it :)

There's that fun bunny charm!  You can find it at The Charm Barn... they have lots to choose from!

Challenge Entered:
The Townscrapper - Easter

I'm off now to go have breakfast with my mom at IHOP... yum!  I haven't had my 'pancake fix' in awhile, and you definitely don't want to see me get cranky - lol!  So, I'll see ya back here tomorrow, my friends : )  If I don't talk to ya before the weekend... Have a wonderful, relaxing, crafting weekend!

May God bless you, keep you and comfort your soul ~

A Warm Hello in Green

*See post below for Fairy Fun Fridays*

Good morning, my friends!  It's another week almost over.  I must say that this week has been quite productive for me.  My friend, Mandy would say it's probably because I've had waaaay too much sugar - lol!  Well, that's only partially correct : )  And it's partially correct because the lovely True gave me the biggest candy bar in her blog candy I received last week.  Do you think that I could have saved it?  Would you?  It was just sittin there, screaming at me - I HAD to eat it - hee hee!

I have a confession... I wasn't sure if I was going to like making this card.  I've seen some gorgeous creations with Sweet Pea stamps and they looked difficult.  I was a little intimidated... but as I began to color her, I saw the potential of what MY creation was supposed to be.  So, here's my version of a CAS (clean and simple) Sweet Pea stamp.  Many thanks to Lynette for supplying the Fussy and Fancy DT with these wonderful stamps!  I really DID have fun making this card : )

Copics Used:
Hair:  E99 E97 Y21 Y11
Dress:  G24 G21 G20
DP:  BasicGrey - Eskimo Kisses
CS:  Close to My Heart
Ribbon and pearls from stash
Sentiment:  Printworks
Stardust Stickles on her wings and dress

The challenge at Fussy and Fancy Friday this week is 'Green'.  We'd love to see what you come up with.  Now head on over to the challenge blog and see the delish creations the DT has for you!

Challenges entered:

Thanks for visiting me!  You know how much I love to hear from you...  I'm finishing up more DT cards, then I'll be free to come see you too : )

A Fussy and Fancy New Year!

Happy, Happy New Year!!!  It's a wonderful new beginning to 2010!

I'm off soon to see the movie Alvin and the Chipmunks - hee hee!  I just love those little fellas : )  I hear that it's even better than the first movie.  Last night I saw It's Complicated.  A very entertaining movie!  I love Meryl Streep.  Did you see Julie & Julia?  That was the only movie I saw 3 times - lol!  It is the BEST feel good movie in my opinion.

I am very excited to begin this year with my first Fussy and Fancy DT card.  This card features a digi from Katie at Paper Makeup Stamps called Madelyn.  I'm also entering this in the following challenges:
Charisma Cardz Challenge - Celebrations
Creative Card Crew - Anything goes
Flutterby Wednesday - Butterfly, fairy...
Cupcake Craft Challenges - Celebrations

Madelyn is colored with... you know it... my fav copics!  Stardust stickles with pink spica accents on her wings, bow, belt and sleeves.  Nesties for circles and scallops.  I finally used my new flourish punch which many of you have been "raving" about - hee hee!  I added gems to these as well as the center of the flowers which I made with my MS hydrangea punch I received in a candy (thanks again Suzanne!!!).

Do you love bling as much as I do???  I love it with a capital B - L - ing!!! - LOL!  So there you go.. it all comes together with the Pink and Black DT theme of Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge.  Have you entered yet?  We're waiting to see YOUR beautiful creations!

Stay tuned for Praire Fairy coming soon...

See ya tomorrow, my friends {{heart hugs}}

May God bless you, keep you and comfort your soul ~

More Exciting News!

Hiya!  Do you feel the clock ticking?  The days flying by?  I honestly can't believe that Christmas is almost here! I think that I'm just choosing to ignore that there are only a few more days... It's coming whether or not I'm ready  - lol!

Oh.. ha ha - I almost forgot!  I was gonna tell you my exciting news!  You may have noticed on my sidebar that I have a new Design Team Badge.  Isn't it lovely?  Little ol' me has been invited to be a part of a fabulous team of talented ladies who call themselves Fussy and Fancy!  I am totally excited and blown away that I've been blessed in this way!  Thank You, God : D  Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge will begin January 1, 2010.  You can find more information here.

Well, if that's not reason enough to celebrate, I've still got 2 blog candy winners coming up next Thursday (Dec. 31).  If you haven't entered yet, why not do that now?  I will post the winners on Friday, Jan. 1.  You can find rules and information on the first posting here and the second posting here.
If 41 more people decide to follow this blog  before Dec. 31, I will add a BIG surprise to the candy!

Now... I actually have a card for you - yay!  I just have to add the finishing touches and I will post for ya.  I had so much fun making this card because I was able to use some candy that I received from two lovely ladies.  I will tell you all about it when we visit next time :D

May God bless you, keep you and comfort your soul ~
