My Ooooops Card!

Happy Monday!  I hope your Easter weekend was fabulous!  After church, we spent the day and evening at my mom's house.  Yummy food... and of course I had to eat it all!  It always goes down so good, but then later, it's not so good anymore, just overfull.  Why do I always do that?  I should know better by now.  I'm sure I'll do again during the next holiday meal - lol!  My mom always sends us home with leftovers.  Even though I am still full, the lemon meringue pie is screaming at me.  But this time, I'm winning... until tomorrow - hee hee!
Here's another 'awwwww' image from Karen's Doodles.
You can purchase Elliot and Baby Sister from Karen's Doodles Here.

The challenge this week at Karen's Doodles (US) is Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue.  Well, I sttttttrrrrreeeeetttttccccchhhhheeeeedddd it on this one!  Honestly, I totally forgot about it.  I just plain blew it!  So here's what I came up with after I made the card:  Something Old(er):  Elliot; Something New: Baby Sister; Something Borrowed: the rocking chair; Something Blue:  purple-blue????  I know... I know...

I'm sure yours will be marvelous!  Oh, and you should see the DTs cards that followed directions (hee hee) - but really... they are fabulous!  Go check em out on the US Challenge Blog Here.

An Egg-stra Special Easter!

Yay!  It's Friday!!!  That's good news and bad news...  What!?!  Because it's Friday, that means my DH doesn't have a job to go to anymore : (   But it's good news because it's the first day of our new life : )  I do not know what the future holds, but I do know Who holds the future!  I must put my trust in Jesus Christ.  "Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord."  Psalm 27:14

Today I have another quick and easy project for ya.  I've used Kate's Chicken Girl Design Egg-stra Special Bunny.  Kate carries a variety of items in her store, i {heart} papers, including rubber and digi stamps.  Why not check it out... and tell her that Lori sent ya : )

I dowloaded the egg shape from DZ Doodles Here.  Do you think I could have used an oval shape?  No... I had to use the proper egg shape!  I covered it with dp, inside and out.  This next part is for Stephanne... I chose to put the sentiment on the inside of the card - lol!  I think it works...  Nesties ovals, cut out and popped up the bunny's basket and egg, added ribbon and flowers - good to go!  All set for Easter!  I have the perfect person in mind to give this to...but now I need to make another one so that 'somone else' won't feel left out.  No, I can't say who it is because that person might be reading this!

Next up... Paper Romance is coming to town.  It'll be a cutie!!!

I'm still gathering up a few things for my candy I promised.  It won't be a BIG candy cuz my DH would have a fit if I spent our grocery money on candy - lol!  It will be some of my favorite things though...  I hope you'll like it.

Thanks for visiting and come back soon!

May God bless you, keep you and comfort your soul ~

I Gotta Lie Down!

Just me again...  this is my second post for today, so if you are looking for Karen's Doodles Easter Blog Hop, see below.  Thanks!

Do you have a love/hate relationship with exercising?  I did for a long time, but I'm actually beginning to like it - I know... what's wrong with me? lol!  I do see the benefits and it really is a great stress reliever!  I am happy to report that I am still going to the gym at least 4-5 times each week.  After surgery five months ago, I wondered if I ever would have energy again - ha ha!  God is faithful and is restoring me back to health as He promised : )

I have an exercise card for ya today!  What?!?!  Oh, you'll like it, I promise!  So, tomorrow is another Fairy Fun Fridays Challenge.  Come play with us!  This week the Fairy has challenged to use texture on our projects.  This was sooooo much fun for me.  I kept adding and getting new ideas.  Here is Lazy Boxer Beary.

I think Roberta intended this to be a 'male' bear, but it just screamed for pink - hee hee!  So why doesn't she have a top on?  I'm glad you asked!  You see, since I had a double mastectomy, I am officially allowed to go topless - LOL!!!  Not really... but it sounds good!  So, I'm being rebellious and making this Miss Lazy Boxer Beary.

Texture... lots of it!  I used pink Sparkly Fluff on her slippers, polar white Flower Soft for her tail (yes, it's white, but I colored it with my copics!) and gave her a pink satin waistband.  The ruffly background with ribbon is more texture AND you may not be able to see it, but I went around the polka dots on the dp with my embossing tool to give it a little more texture!

...and the inside!  Don'tcha just love it?

Now it's your turn!  Join in the fun and show us your texture projects.  Here's the link to Fairy Fun Fridays.  You'll see tons of inspiration from the lovely DT while you're there.  Go ahead and give em some love : )

Next up...  It's Easter!  Only three more days here in the US.

He is Risen, my friends!!!  The Resurrected Jesus is alive through those who believe.  I pray that you are among 'those who believe.'  I love you!

May God bless you, keep you and comfort your soul ~

Princess Pony

Good Morning!  Are you bright-eyed and bushy-tailed?  Hee hee... for me, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed is around 11:00 a.m.  Well, someone has to be up at night to take care of things - lol!

My little furbaby, Sammy, is well on his way to being his old bossy self!  It was a looooong couple of weeks, but he's as good as new.  Whew!  I think it was worse than having a sick baby cuz he doesn't wear diapers...ewwwww...  I hope you've already had your breakfast - hee hee!

Are you ready for another challenge at Karen's Doodles?  This week we have an inspiration photo to work with, and all four challenge blogs are joining in.

I love the colors in this photo, so I used pink and green.  My card is kinda 'ruffly' which I took from the bed skirt and pillow shams.  I just love cute and girlie!  Without further ado,  meet Princess Pony Here.

I've colored Princess Pony, of course, with my fav copics:
E21 E11 E00 E000; E31 E25 Y21; R85 R83 R81; G28 G24 G21 G20; E34 E33 E31 E30; C7 C5 C3 C1 C0.
Stardust Stickles accents, gorgeous cameo and mini roses by Prima, MS punch, pearls and ribbon.  Ta Da!  I used my Cricut to cut out the card shape (Wild Card Cartridge) and dp; nesties for the circle and scallop.  If you are reading this and recognize the shape of the card as one that you recently did, I give you credit!  I loved your card so much, I decided to make one of my own!  I'm sorry that I didn't write down your name and blog... I will make a conscious effort to do that in the future.

This was a lot of fun to color!

So how do you think I did with my first inspiration photo?  I hope you like the results.

Exciting News:  Karen's Doodles Challenge Blogs (yes, plural - all four) are having an Easter Blog Hop!  Watch for it this week - Thursday, April 1.  Fun and prizes!!!

Thank you for coming to visit me.  I truly appreciate your friendship and support!!!

May God bless you, keep you and comfort your soul ~

A Gift For You

I'm back!  I promised you another 'fuzzy wuzzy' so I'm here to introduce to you, "Birthday Cuddles" from Popcorn the Bear Collection.  This adorable, high quality stamp is available at Paper Romance.  I've only used two of the eight stamps which come with the Birthday Cuddles set on my card today.  A quick and simple project!
This cutie-patootie is colored with copics and accented with Stardust Gelly Roll pen by Sakura.  I love the Stardust pen from Sakura because it gives a nice flow of 'sparkle'.  For some reason, both of the clear Atyou Spica pens I've had didn't work very well... hmmm.  I've had no problem with Sakura : )

Don'tcha just want to pick him up and cuddle him?  I love his blankie : )  Now when you look at the gift tag and see 'A Gift For You', it's a little off.   This is human error, not the stamp!  I just wanted to make sure you knew that - lol!

Need a quick and easy card?  Head on over to Paper Romance and see the adorable stamps Amy has available!  There's sure to be something for every style and taste.

Challenges Entered:
Creative Card Crew - Going Dotty
Pile It On - Furry Friends
Hand Full of Stamps - Sweet
Paper Garden - Embossing

Next up...  a photo is my inspiration for Karen's Doodles Challenge.

Come back soon!  I love you, my friends {heart}

Thinking of You

♥ Happy Saturday!  I hope your weekend is off to a wonderful start and you get lots of coloring time in.  I, on the other hand am a little behind in that area...  I am just itchin' to get some copics in my hands!

Today, my DH is on his way to pick up a (used) new bike.  He has been wanting a recumbent bike for years.  Well, he finally found one and he can't wait to get it.  He is so cute... like a little kid waiting to open presents on Christmas - lol!  The only thing is that his excitement is on the inside.  You know the story of the little boy who was told to sit down and be quiet?  You can image what his reaction would be if he was so inclined to be disobedient... "I might be sitting down on the outside, but I'm standing up on the inside!"  Yes, my DH is definitely jumping up and down shouting on the inside : )  I am happy for him!  He's gonna need some good exercise and something to focus on other than worrying about whether or not he can find a job...  God has always provided for us, and I know that He's gonna continue to provide.

My card today is a day late - oops!  This is my i {heart} copics DT card for Fabulous Friday Challenge.  There is a sketch for you to follow this week.  Why not give it a try?  The only requirement is that you use copics somewhere on your creation whether it is coloring the image or embellishment.  Deadline to enter is Thursday, April 1 at 10:00 PM.

It's 1:04 AM as I type this, and I haven't gone to bed yet, so doesn't that count for Friday still?  I didn't think it would - lol!
I received this adorable Tilda in a RAK.  I had two of them, but I didn't like the first one, so I colored the other one.  Now I have none : (   She is just sooooo cute!  Do you know which Tilda this is?  My wish list is getting longer and longer.

I've used My Minds Eye "Love Me Do" paper from i {heart} papers.  I think it's perfect for this card!  Check out i {heart} papers for other fab selections.

Challenges Entered:
Little Red Wagon - inspiration photo
Simon Says Stamp - Spring
The Creative Cottage - Sparkle
Flutter By Wednesdays - Butterfly charm
Cute Card Thursday - Dimension
Crafty Catz - White + one other color
Simple Doodles - Layers

Ok, now it's bedtime.  I'll have another fuzzy wuzzy project for ya later today.

Thanks for coming to visit.  I hope to be visiting you soon...

May God bless you, keep you and comfort your soul ~

Love at First Bite Remix!

Does it feel like deja vu today?  If you remember my easel card from Monday, this IS the same image!  I needed another Easter card using this beautiful charm from The Charm Barn and I didn't want to use the exact same card... so here's my remix!

This is for Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge, and you guessed it, the theme is Easter!  The image is Love at First Bite from Karen's Doodles.  Isn't it just the cutest?  It makes me so happy looking at it :)

There's that fun bunny charm!  You can find it at The Charm Barn... they have lots to choose from!

Challenge Entered:
The Townscrapper - Easter

I'm off now to go have breakfast with my mom at IHOP... yum!  I haven't had my 'pancake fix' in awhile, and you definitely don't want to see me get cranky - lol!  So, I'll see ya back here tomorrow, my friends : )  If I don't talk to ya before the weekend... Have a wonderful, relaxing, crafting weekend!

May God bless you, keep you and comfort your soul ~

My Second Easel Card!

Wow... twice in one week!  What's up with that?  Even though I am the last person on the face of this planet to make an easel card, I've decided that I am gonna make up for it - lol!  Actually, the challenge at Fairy Fun Fridays this week is to make an easel card.  So now I'm getting in some good practice.  I've visited many of your blogs and found lots of beautiful easel cards.  Each of you have stated that it was very easy to make and loads of fun!  Well, you were right : )

Here is my easel card featuring Honey Beary from Prairie Fairy Designs.

Yep... it really is an easel card as you can see!  Ta Da!!!
Here's what my DH came up with when I asked him what sentiment should go on this card.  Thanks Honey (Beary)!

Copics
E37 E34 E33 E31 E30 R20
B97 B95 B93 B91
G28 G24 G21 G20

Buttons and brads from stash
Hot Off The Press:  Brown Leather, Tan Leather
DCWV: Indigo

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:

Now don't forget that tomorrow is Fairy Fun Fridays!  While you're there, you'll find some great inspiration from the DT to get your creative juices flowing.  If you've never made an easel card before, I have some reassurance for you:  If I can do it, anyone can!!!  Show us your easel cards : )
